Most anticipated first pic:Silver Surfer or Full Armour Doom ?

Since I've gotten a taste of Doom <that sounds weird> , I'm looking forward to seeing the Surfer's look a bit more.

VERY true. Anyone who's started hanging around here since the last film should take note, because once the set reports and pictures start coming in, good or bad, you will start to see a little influx of "insurgent trolls" who come in just to start pointless threads with inflammatory,smart-ass titles like "We all know this one's going to suck too." (How I wish I was exaggerating.)
If their name is unfamiliar, check out their other recent posts by clicking near their ID, and 9 times out of 10 you will find that the vast majority of their activity is on a couple of other boards...I won't even name those boards here, because I'm not saying that every Batman or Transformers fan is automatically an FF-hater or troll. Uh oh, I named 'em. Well, I'm still not saying that. Hey, I love Batman, too.

There's a scene in the just-released Clerks 2 where a couple of Lord of the Rings/Transformers fanatics get into a war of insults with a die-hard Star Wars aficionado. It's a surprisingly hysterical scene, as the Ring guys get increasingly enraged and incredulous. One of the funniest things in life (for me) has been to ocassionally witness such pointless over-heated debate.

It was just like this board around this time last year, only with more vulgarities.

I have to go with Doom because to tell the truth I think the Surfer is so "60's" . I am harkening back the the Lee/Buscema series where he was pretty much the annoyingly tortured soul trapped on Earth most of the time and the favorite whipping boy of Mephisto. My hats off to Fox if they can pull him off without looking ludicrous. We already saw a shiny chrome like creature in T2 and the non-comic book audience might not think he is such a big deal.

I haven't read the current Silver Surfer : Annihilation but I recall the last series that went by the title chararacter name. He hardly appeared in the comic at all, had very little dialogue and was behind the mysterious abduction of children on Earth. I got so bored with it I dropped it before I finally found out what was behind it all. Then there was the delightfully gross "Marvel Zombies" mini were he got devoured like some extra in a George Romero movie. The point of my rambling post being the Surfer is much like his appearance, pretty monochromatic and devoid of personality of late in the Marvel Universe. This is one character I would not mind the movie folk tinkering with to make him more relatable to today's audiences.

The thing i can't understand is he said he's convinced SS will suck as all CGi characters have so far,what about Gollum,Kong,Sonny,Yoda,Hulk etc.........?
