Move over Benjamin Button. 16 year old toddler who hasn't aged!!!

Oh wow...in that case, yeah, that sucks big time!

I assumed she'd continue growing just slower than normal people do. Its interesting how her brain has been growing in sync with her physical development.

Nah, I don't think she'll "grow" anymore. It's sad that her brain growth stopped 15 years and a couple months ago :csad:

I, too, think that she won't live for much longer.

I think that's very, very disturbing. I feel badly for that child, too...how sad that she's never really been able to truly experience growth and new life experiences.

I agree...to a point, maybe. Looking at her pics, it's messed up. The only good thing is that maybe by the time she is 50 she will look like a 19 yr old?

My aunt's ex-husband studied the genetic basis of a similar disorder. Crazy stuff.

but she will it'll just be delayed. The sad thing is she is probably going to see her whole family die before her. And who is going to want to adopt a 50 year old JUST hitting puberty? :csad:

Hopefully science can catch up to her . I have a feeling she'll die early from health problems.

so.....do we start a countdown clock for when she turns 18?

So it's the brain not the body. I thought she was literally in a baby body running around and acting like an adult, like Stewie.

That would be awesome.

I wonder if she will come to the realization of what is going on with her.

I have a feeling that she's not immune to age, but growth. When she hits 30 I think they're going to start noticing signs of age like wrinkles and stuff, so she'll be like one of those kids who suffer from old age even though they're only children. It's a pretty remarkable story, but it's sad. Never growing old is the fantasy of many people, but that's quite different from simply never growing. I'm sure she's perfectly happy simply because she can't comprehend the strangeness of her existence, but it's still sad that she'll have to go her whole life not experiencing anything more than that.

The Doc just have to play the waiting game, like when she is fourty or thirty, has she aged? Is her heart showing signs of aging etc.?

To me there's obviously something inside her immune system that's powerful, if she can just wake up one day and there's no more brain tumor.

When/If she dies, they'd better donate her body to medical science. I want to know how that damn healing factor works.

Maybe she's an evolutionary head start, to when humans can live up to 200.

It's possible that they made a mistake though...

"It's not a tumah!"

Seriously though, I don't think that this girl is going to be immune to the effects of age. I think it's more likely that she simply has a genetic deficiency that is keeping her from developing and growing, but the only way to know for sure is to see what happens later in her life. If she starts getting gray hairs, wrinkles, and arthritis, the idea that she's the genetic fountain of youth pretty much goes down the drain. Nonetheless, her story is quite remarkable.

well as it is she's going to be in trouble later ln life. while some of her organs are the condition of a 2 year olds others are the condition of a 10 year olds. the gap will just get wider. 4 to 20, 8 to 40, 16 to 80. so imagine being mentally 16 with the bones of an 80 year old.
