so, there are plenty of movies made today that fail... due to special effects constraints, whatever, etc...

so, what movies that would pass 20 years ago are failed today due to things that would have passed them back then?

i just watched 'stick it'... and it's generally considered that it "sucked"... but i think if this suck of a movie (for example) were released 20 years ago, it would be the shizzle. (for example)

so... um... yeah.

The Star Wars prequels may have been better. Because Lucas had a soul back then.

However, I must say that "Revenge of the Sith" was pretty damn good.

The only good one out of three. Not even that great really, but good no less.

The prequels at least gave us the Sith in true form and the Jedi Knights taking names.

Nice thread. I reckon if the X-men films were made in the 80's, they could have been better.

A tighter budget and less visual effects would have focussed a lot more on the story, and other than Cyclops or Storm, most of the effects are practical anyway.

Spider-Man would've been terrific as we would've gotten John Cusack as a proper non-emo grown up Parker which would've been terrific... the guy can act circles around Maguire
