an american version of this show is going to be 'watered-down.' it'll probably be like the crapfest known as 'undressed.' i hope it's set in los angeles or atlanta so it has an urban feel, at least.

Well the trailer for Skins U.S. has premired and it actually looks pretty decent. Even if it is more or less a remake of the original Skins pilot.

How about MTV and to a lesser extent Fuse pull their head outta their butts and air music videos and live concerts and interviews with artists? I know Fuse does this still, but it seems they are on the verge of going the way of MTV. Esp with all the hip hop blocks and artist take overs, they hardly air rock music videos, 90's music videos, etc. Let MTV2 be the place for reality shows, like viva la bam and jackass.

Because they are useing S1 as a start off point for the US edition but plan on taking it in a different direction after a couple of episodes.
