no, it happens in damn near every thread. The ridiculous part of it IS that I've only been here a month and it's happened repeatedly. I throw in my 2 cents for the discussion, and people find numerous ways to judge me and jump on my case.

not sure if they just read my post's the wrong way or what, but I never go out of my way to act like an ass, judge, name call or fight with anyone yet I get it all the time

How long after he hit them did he tell you?

Regardless of what you did with that situation he needed to be turned in to the police for AT LEAST negligence, because someone that pulls a stunt like that is more than likely to do it again, and again UNTIL they get caught.

This isn't your average story. This is you talking about your friend committing what is considered a horrible crime to many people, and you blowing it off because it's not your business. You're going to get some strong responses on that.

I don't think you're a terrible human being, but regardless of whether you yourself did something wrong or not, by any reasonable social standard you have a moral obligation to disclose that kind of information to authorities. I realize that puts you in a hard place as a friend, but frankly...he put you there himself by telling you to begin with.
