Serious question: Should prostitution be made legal?

I say legalize it. What is wrong with getting some poonash? Plus if you a desperate enough to pay for it...make more jobs for our hard working Americans.

There are both benefits and detractions to legalization of prostitution. I'd say that a nationwide legalization is a bad call. I think they should keep it to jurisdictions that want to legalize it and leave it at that.

I'd like to hear what government officials find so wrong with paying for sex. ( i know most of them do it behind closed doors anyway but i mean the political reasons).

Men pay for sex, indirectly anyway, when we take a woman out on a date. Both parties (the man and the woman) know what the gifts, flowers and whatnot is leading too, so why is it ssssoooo wrong to just cut through the 'red-tape' so to speak, and make it into a legal costumer service based business....?

Legalizing and registering it would lower the violence and STD rate. The Netherlands makes hookers take tests for STD's. You know that they are all clean. Plus, no more pimps. And they aren't out in the streets where they can be harmed.

I think its strange that it's illegal in Vegas but almost anywhere else in Nevada its legal. If there was a place to legalize prostitution, it should be the City known as Sin City.

It's insane how people are for legal abortion, using the defense that a woman should have the right to make her own decisions about her own body. (even though her body is not the one that will be sliced up and sucked out and discarded...unless...that is HER little inner penis when she's haveing a boy. )

And yet some of the same people are still against legal prostitution, even though that is the purer case of a woman deciding what to do with her body.
