Murtha didn't make House Majority Leader, thanks GOD!

Ugh, well sorry if I can't help but feel attacked every time I say something that someone else disagrees with politically. Even if I give a moderate stance on something, in many cases some knucklehead like lastsunrise comes along and calls me a neo-con.

But I do appreciate the honest question and I didn't mean to sound like a prick in my response, so I apologize.

no problem man. I just wanted to know. because I think that if Democrats moderate or otherwise are nothing but republicans by another name the election would mean nothing.
I hope there's real balance in the US government in the coming years.

see Lazur, its adding that phrase up there to your thread title...that's the sort of thing that might sorta, you know, bring on the attacks. And yes, Liberals who do the same things with their tread titles might expect to be attacked for it as well.

Aye, that was intentionally added just for the fact that I know that a few narrow minded liberals (note I didn't say *all* liberals) like to paint ANYone they perceive as a "conservative" into the 'religious nut' category whenever the word "God" is mentioned. As lastsunrise has clearly demonstrated, some people are painfully predictible, as I am anything BUT a Christian or religious person in any other sense of the word.

i wasn't talking about any religious sense- i meant in the sense of emphasis you added, rather than just posting the news article and your thoughts on it.
that's what i think might cause people to pounce .

The thought of you using "thank God" in an actual religious sense didn't even enter into my thoughts.

Ah okay. Well, I'm happy Murtha didn't get the seat, so I'm just expressing as much.

right. and its that particular kind of expression that comes off as partisan. as condescension or whatever. Just not the best "first foot" to put forward.

Agreed, but a blatantly left of center liberal can trash a republican in the subject of a post and be considered a "moderate".

It's sort of a double standard.

But I do get what you're saying.

I've never seen you give a moderate stance on anything. You should stop the lying right now. In most cases all I've seen you do is support Republicans and bash anyone who is possibly a Democrat.

You've gone as far as simply smearing any Democrat and simply calling those who say anything bad about Bush "weak liberals", "evil mass media", and so on and so forth. Stop playing the victim act and just admit that there's nothing moderate about you whatsoever.

If I am wrong, then I am simply wrong and would have no problems admitting my error. But your posts and your beliefs show otherwise in your supposed "moderate" stance.

Remember you say the media makes Republicans look like monsters and that the liberal media is what's wrong with America.

Actually, the "weak" liberals didn't take control - the moderate liberals did. BIG difference ;).
Actually, very few moderate Democrats were elected. The majority of moderate Democrats that ran lost. Little known fact. Don't listen to the conservative media.

Well, it would appear that 149 dems in the House agree with me on the issue :).

just because they didn't vote for him doesn't mean they agree with you about him being liberal. he's a moderate. he even crosses party lines when it comes to corruption.
