Ok so here is the deal. I have Vista on my laptop. It came with the system and I needed a new computer. I don't really care for the way it burns to cd-rs or dvd-rs.

It takes forever, literally until the end of time to burn a damn cd-r/w or dvd-r if I am putting data information on to it. Anything from program files to mp3 formatted music.

Sometimes it doesn't even finish. I don't think the older, vastly easier programs I have will work on Vista, which sucks because they were easy as hell to use.

Does anyone know of any free easy to use burning programs that will run on Vista?

nope :woot:

Although, if you have the money, invest in a plug-in burner. most burners aren't that slow and even the cheapest of the cheapest plug-ins work okay

It's not my burner itself. It works fine if I burn audio cds or dvds but when I use cd-rws or try to make data or mp3 cds is when the programs take forever.

Whatever the hell came with Vista. It's part of windows, it's actually windows program.

Is it really that hard for you to go to "My Computer" and see what the name of it is? Is it?

The Burner is Toshiba. Like I said the program is the problem, not the burner.
