Well, after a long absence from the boards (when I posted I posted rarely though). I'm back with art for my comic that I will be releasing in June.
Ok, so it's self published, but hey it's still getting out there.
22 of the 24 pages are pencilled, and about 8 pages are inked. I've scanned in some of the pencilled pages for some feedback if anyone wants to leave any. The pencilled pages are looser then the finished inked drawings. Some details, like window sills in this case are left for me to ink in at the end.
The book itself is in some ways an allegorical autobiography and is somewhere between a comic strip and a comic book. It tells the story of a high schooler named Jack Jayden who gains amazing superpowers from his class ring, and decides to fight for what's right.
Jack lives in a world where the successful superheroes are like sports stars and have endorsments aplenty. He has to decide if he's going to go that route and risk being a sellout, or worse, be controlled by the very sponsors that give him fame...
Here's the first five pencilled pages from issue #1
