$#*! My Dad Says

Well in all honesty I've not been on the boards or any news sites to have seen this news till just now. When I have been on boards it was for movie talk. You know Holidays and all, better things to do.

A shuffled schedule is no immediate cause for alarm. Rules has been shuffled before and is still around. Lie to Me as well. This isn't an immediate death knell. And even if it was my show fared better than most new shows.

I think everyone just is upset that critical darlings like Lone Star got canned and I got 16 or so more episodes of TV fun.

(a) I don't like Texas and I definitely never watched a minute of 'Lone Star'.

(b) Hey, '$h&* my Dad Says' may be effectively cancelled, but at least it got nominated for a 'People's Choice Award'.... amirite??! :awesome:

I wish I was as invested in the show as you guys seem to think.
"Go insane"
"Murderous rampage"
LOL :word:

Do I like the show, sure but shows come and go. Is it fun to root for one, yes but I'll find another one.
You guys are at least AS funny as the show at times.

Oh, come now, that's just internet exaggeration. And since you're almost the only person that watches the show around here, it's just being obvious.

Anyway, the only surprising thing about $#*! for me were the initial ratings. They were way higher then I expected them to be, but they leveled out pretty quickly. They haven't gotten anything in a good while to suggest that they wouldn't be the odd man out when Mad Love was ready to start.

I wonder if winning a certain People's Choice Award changes the fate of this show.

I'd say if the show shuffled in fails to launch it couldn't hurt for execs to think about it being returned to the lineup. Tv execs are a funny lot sometimes. The show is going to air for a few weeks before it's out of the lineup so I'll be curious to see if CBS does any spots for $#*! touting it's win. They have in the past.

Well, yeah, that's pretty obvious. Their only chance would be Mad Love absolutely tanking. Even with that, CBS has three half-hour comedies in development right now, so if even one of those makes it to air, $#*! is still basically done.

As for the People's Choice, yeah they'll mention it in spots, but can we stop pretending that it really matters to CBS? The New Adventures of Old Christine won an EMMY in their final season and they still threw it on the scrap heap because it was their worst performer.

$#*! or Rules of Engagement are likely to be canceled. CBS could always cancel both, even though Rules is a season away from Syndication, I think.

So the shows finale(season/series) is a cliffhanger???

WTF???

The show did good numbers, but CBS doesn't like 'Good numbers' This show would be getting a 2nd season if it were on NBC, FOX, or ABC. The finale did a 2.6 demo with about 9.5 mil viewers.

Ouch. Bleep my Dad just defeated the entire NBC line up lol(in viewers, Office only show to get higher demo rating) Bleep ended with 9.697 mil viewers vs The Office 6.407.

Mad Love may tank. I want to say..the early or final ratings for the pilot was a 3.0 in demo and...8 something million viewers. If it falls to a 2.8 in the demo, I think it's done.

I like this show, but not super Crazy about it.

Wait...this past week's show was the finale!?! :csad:

It may but that number wouldn't save $#*! at this point with their numbers down to a 2.6 and those sitcoms in development for next season. Both would just be axed.

As corny as this show might have been with the acting, I really enjoyed it.

I find it funny Bleep beats out Cougar Town, The Middle on ABC. They get renewed. CBS has high standards. I hope they fall as a network.

It's funny how everyone likes to look at it with those perfect equivalencies. Yes, $#*! got better ratings than the shows on NBC. That doesn't mean anything. Actually put the show on NBC and the ratings for it would be as pathetic as the rest of them.

So CBS has higher ratings standards. Oh well.
