He's been an avid collector of Marvel stuff since his high school days, and had a lot of Ghost Rider issues, though his mom promptly tossed them out, which he hates to this day. I think the studio will have to get the younger set interested in the character, as he has a pretty established fanbase from older fans, but the advertising will just have to catch their attention.

My Uncle and my Mom want to see it too.

My Mom likes Nic Cage and my Uncle also likes Cage and thinks the movie looks really good.

I never knew about Ghost Rider before, but now I have my first 4 comics with him, and I have a freakin' obsession with him to. He's so freakin' awesome.

So you're kinda' new to this? Welcome.

And we know he's awesome.:ghost:

i hate nicolas cage, but this film looks sweeeeet

January 9th the ads hit TV and the outdoor signage begins -- but word of mouth and the new website are the key so spread the word brother.

You are a lucky man. I had booked it with my brother but he bailed. My father passed away in '91 and my Stepdad (cool as he is) I wouldn't ask and my other brother lives in the states.

I have been reading GR since I began to read and the 80's version just reignited my passion for the rider.

Nice. The interesting thing is if you post a pic from the movie anywhere in the SHH people get jazzed about the movie.

Don't mind me, damn the post pics and all that jazz, hype from a few means nothing to me. I've seen plenty of hyped movies and hyped big that failed. The question is, how can we really get people to see this film and see it multiple times, so that it doesn't fail?

Welcome to the hype Ghoster and more importantly to the world of Ghost Rider. You're in for a wonderful ride as your collection grows. Everyone around these parts are great so, feel free to ask questions and be sure to come back often. We like to company here.

Again, welcome aboard.

The difference between this movie is that is has not been hyped. In fact, up until very recently, the movie was being slammed by everyone. The only thing that's starting to get peoples attention is the visuals, now that they've finally seen it.

The hype on this one is starting late and will really only start this month and I fully believe that when this movie hits, there be enough of a late build up of hype to get people out to this and then when people actually see how amazing this is going to look (first and foremost), others will follow.

Sleeper hit.

My mom saw the trailer when she went to see X3 with me and my family and says she can't wait. She's a huge Sam Elliot fan, but she said if she likes the movie enough, she may even check some of the books out. I am still in shock over that cause shes not the comic book type at all but was dead serious about starting to read the comics cause she thinks the character seems very interesting.

I think Nic Cage just has a way of bringing people together....

My father couldn't give a **** about this movie (although he did think the trailer looked good), but I've convinced all my friends (as few as they are) to check out this film. Hoping to get a matinee showing on Friday morning if there is no midnight showing Thursday evening.

Hopefully it'll work out like that, we'll see, I'm not to sure. How much does this puppy cost, it's not really a big title comic book, but I wanna know how much has Sony invested in it? I know the first Fantastic Four movie cost a 100M to make.

I'm worried because Daredevil was disappointing. Ghost Rider has the same director. I'm not saying it won't be good, I'm just worried.

Actually I'm a dad and my KIDs are just as excited to see than I am, but, I'm in Arkansas and they're in Northern Illinios. :(

My Dad rides motorcycles, and he's mates and himself are very interested in seeing this film.
My fiancee also rides a motorcycle, and she's coming to see it with me on the movie's opening day. I'm taking the day off.
Might have to take a week's worth of work off too, because I plan to see it more than once. Easily more than once. :)
Abe.

Pretty much everyone in my household except my sister is very excited for this film.

I have been for about 2 years now...and I know it'll be good. I just know.

Ive been hearing that this movie can actually appeal to the older comic reader [mainly 30+].

We have never really been given an official total on the budget. The last thing we heard was it was about 120 mill, but I can't be totally positive on that. Boxofficemojo lists it as that as well: http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=ghostrider.htm

... if that means anything.

Not even Box Office Mojo knows the budget for any given film, they guess like us, but 120M is a lot (I'd even say too much) for a GR movie if it's true. It better do damn well, if that cume doesn't include the marketing.
