My first Hottoy Bank Robber Joker

I have both the hot toys joker as well as the DC direct Joker and I still say the DC direct is a fantastic figure and terrific value. Perhaps it is because it was the first ever 1:6 figure i ever bought but I think apart from the hair being too tidy the likeness and everything else is superb. Also I think the DC Direct clown mask is better than the actual hot toys bank robber mask. It actually fits nicely onto the hot toys figure and you can even see his eyes under the correct lighting! Okay so it does look a little big from certain angles but I honestly think it looks better than the Hot Toys one although everything else about the figure is exceptional.

Got my Bank Robber Joker a few weeks back. Looks fantastic.

A few days later on closer inspection I found that the stitching on the right colar is poor. Shows alot of white stitching.

Speaking with the Ebay Seller he told me to contact Hot Toys. Problem is they havent answered me. Its been 2 weeks.

Not reall happy as ive bought almost the whole Hot Toys Dark Knight Range, and they dont even bother to answer.

Has anyone had any problems and contacted hot toys and recieved an answer?

Yeah mine has some minor pieces of stitching hanging in a few places I mean nothing huge... In no way do I feel that Hottoys ripped me off or sold me a shoty product. As far as who you would contact about something like that I dont know... I doubt Hottoys would replace a toy becasue a little stitching... But then again Im new at this so I would not know because I have never had to contact Hottoys for any reason...

Not me. I got teriffic service from them when I broke a wrist joint on mt TDK Batman, got a quick reply (within a day) when I e-mailed them about it, and after supplying them with the info they needed, I had TWO new wrist joints at no charge in a couple of weeks. I'm not sure, but it doessn't sound like your problem is a flaw, it sounds more like you just don't like the thread color they used. If that' s true, and its not that the thread is frayed or loose or something, I really don't see how they could possibly help you. They would have to make a special shirt just for you. They're not gonna do that.

Now comes the part where all the dc direct Batman haters should turn away... Keep in mind that I bought this before I even know about hottoys and am going to buy a hottoys Batman sooner or later...

I too bought them before I knew about Hot Toy's. As I had no clue what Hot Toys was back in August, not only that I bought the DCD thinking it was Hot Toys after I saw the pics. I still like them in their own right. Plus they come with certificates. Even though it's just a tiny paper card.

If posed properly they can look pretty good.

Can you tell me which hot toys email address you sent it to? I was nice and all in my email, at least they could have replied and said no we find that not to be a replaceable. Maybe im just not sending it to the right email.

Ill post a photo of my Joker when I get home.

Go to the Hot Toys website, click on "contact us", that will take you to an e-mail form, where it says "type of request" select "after sales service" and then tell them what your problem is. I got a very quick response , they answered that very night.
Be prepared, you will need to e-mail them a copy of your sales receipt and a photo of the problem piece. Luckily, the website I ordered from was kind enough to e-mail me a copy of my receipt, and I also still had the Amazon.com receipt as well. The photo doesn't have to be high quality as long as you can tell what's wrong with the piece. Mine was a VERY fuzzy pic I took with my built-in webcam, but you could still see the broken peg.
The person who serviced me was polite and very quick to respond to my e-mails when I had a question.

Not bad HotToyzJoker still I really think Hot Toys should bring out a Cillian Murphy Scarecrow at some point. I am sure there are a lot of people who would buy it. Myself included.

Hey Vodoun you actually make that DCDirect Batman look fantastic which is some achievement. You tried the DC Direct clown mask on the bank robber yet?

I really need to get a camera so I can get some photos on here.

If you like it let me know and I do a better one with Hottoys Joker when I get him...

Nice. Yeah keep it up. When are you looking to get your Hottoys Joker HotToyzJoker?

Nope, I haven't. I quite like the soft rubber mask though, but all my figs are boxed up.

It's not hard. Time and patience not forcing anything.

Sadly, it's sold out. http://www.toys2.net/product.php?productid=20702&cat=123&page=1

________

I've never liked how the purple coat sat on the fig, but with extreme futzing and cardboard shaped like a V over the shoulders under the purple coat.

Could you be a bit more specific about that cardboard "V" thing? I would like to try it if I can get the coat to sit like it is in your pics. That's the one thing I'm not too happy with on the HT Joker.

It's cut in angled rectangular pieces thats sitting at the edges of the shoulders bent in half across the middle, sitting above the grey jacket to try and square the edges up.

Two pieces? One for each shoulder? In a triangular shape? Sorry for the interrogation, just want to make sure I understand.

Yep, two squares. One for each shoulder, shaped like /\ as it's going over the front and back of his shoulders while the point is somewhat pushing the coat up.

Just like real dress/business suits, but they use thick foam pads under the shoulders to square off pop up the ends.
