My LCD Widescreen TV gets red spots on the screen when I pause a dvd movie is this normal? I recently bought an upcoverting dvd player that uses HDMI & when I pause the movie on this player I sometimes get red spots on the tv screen but they eventually go away. Is this a problem that naturally happens with all HDMI compatible products & it is nothing to be worried about or is it something that could cause damage to the LCD tv?

Usually that's a sign of a stuck pixel, but stuck pixels usually stay stuck whether something's playing or not. Are they in teh same spot each time? It's only when you do the upconvert from the DVD player? If so, it seems to be something with the player itself, which shouldn't harm your display.

Are SPIDER-MAN-ROX similar to Pop Rox?

And I agree with Kal. Sounds like something going on with your DVD player.
