I have my cable signal routed through a dvd/vcr combo player & then hooked into my widescreen tv, so will I still be able to pick up digital channels after the switch over with things hooked up like this or will I have to have my cable hooked directly into my widescreen tv to get the digital channels?

Do I have to hook anything else up to my widescreen tv to get the digital channels or should my tv pick them up when I scan for them just the way it is as long as I have a cable signal hooked up & a digital tuner built into my tv?
Is there a chance that my widescreen tv will still read every channel as analog instead of digital even though I have an HD tuner built into my widescreen tv?

from what ive heard, if you have cable you are ok
the whole DTV thing is with people that uses antennas and analog tv
