My Mart Kart DS isn't working!

For some reason, my DS isn't reading the game pak when it's inserted...It goes right to the system menu.

What are some remedies or solutions to this problem?

Well, much like and SD card, or a computer card, if you touch the metal part, any number of things could go wrong with it, destroying your cartridge...static discharge, or even just the oil from your hands can pretty much make it totally useless...try it on a different DS, see if it works there. Also, try other carts in your DS, to make sure it's not a hardware problem...if it's the cart, take a paper towel and gently dab it on the metal part, that should hopefully take care of any oil or fingerprints that are causing it to happen. If it still doesnt work, chances are it's just fried.
