Napoleon

Napolean?

Get a short guy.

RDJ or Cruise. Maybe Danny Devito.

That's a common myth. Napoleon wasn't actually unusually short (at least for his time).

Though he would be considered slightly undersized by today's standards.

Not that that would be relevant to the film, since they'd presumably pick actors with normal contemporary heights.

He wasn't like a 6ft guy though, so I would hope they don't take that massive of a liberty.

Wasn't he around 5'7? Being under 5'8 is probably considered short today.

The visual of seeing this shorter general basically commanding all these taller grunts is something you can't just dismiss.

About that, yeah. I saw his wax statue in Madame Tussauds.

That makes him about the same height as Churchill and Hitler (they were about 5'8"). ...totally random history trivia.

That would really only apply to his personal guard though. Simple enough, get some guys who are six foot six.

It's a little below average for a French or Italian male today -- well, two or three inches -- and about above average for his time. Odd, I thought he was taller. *shrug*

"The Killing" scribe Napoleon Jeremy Doner is providing the screenplay for the project, which is likened in tone to Brian De Palma's Scarface.

Okayyyyyy it will be anything but historical, I think.

I would not mind DiCaprio in the role.

I was all for a Napoleon movie - until I saw that it's being directed by the guy who made Snow White and the Huntsman. Now I'm filled with skepticism.
