NBC's ''The Blacklist''

Another good ep, the show has been on a roll since it returned after that limp mid-season finale.

Red is such a complex character, he can veer from a genuinely caring and charming guy, into a ruthless, borderline psychotic one in the flip of a switch, Spader is immense and when it's said and done I think Red will go down as one of TV's classic characters.

Liz is in a strange predicament, not in the field and now almost a prisoner in her own apartment as she tries to work out her baby dilemma, that is why Red will always be on her con list, no matter how much happens between the two she never loses sight of who he truly is.

I get the feeling Tom's new job wont be to Liz's liking either lol, and I like the snarky tension between Ressler and Samar. :D

The Vehm were another creepy creation from the shows creators, they have come up with several villains that I feel could have been expanded on a lot more.

The cowardly piece of trash that beat Liz up got his! :woo

Man this season is like 50 steps above season 2, Dembe has got to be one of the coolest characters ever put to screen.

So... What did Red do to the bride and groom? :p

^ that will probably come back later in another grand plan of Red's. Both families are pretty much dead except for the bride, groom and Rafeal, the brother in hiding. That's 2 powerful companies that Red can exploit.

The reason behind Red's interest in Tony Shalhoub was tragically sweet.

That *****e bag DEA agent getting shot in the throat after Liz warned him for the 3rd time to cut the crap was so ****in' satifying.

Kaleb got me questioning it for a moment, but this week confirmed that I like Liz better as a brunette. :ilv:

Quirky ep this week with a bittersweet twist at the end for Red. :( Monk's eccentric evil matchmaker was a great character, shame he had to bite the dust so quickly.

It was fun seeing Samar's softer side in the ep, and Liz needs to watch that Russian minx, she's eyeing up her man! :nuhu:

Rapidly starting to love Tom's little side stories. Probably the second best character after Red, at this point.

^ yep, Tom's side story was the best part of this episode.

I bet that will be the last time Liz complains about Deathstroke living across the hall.

Red is Liz's father all the clues point that he is. He faked his death and became this persona of Raymond Reddington.

That would mean that he somehow arranged for Liz to shoot him when he was little.
I find that doubtful.

I like the theory that Red is Katerina Rostova

Seriously

Red has had contingency plans set in motion from the get-go to ensure the safety and protection of Liz by any and all means very similar to "Jack" Bristow, played by Victor Garber, is Sydney Bristow's father on the television series Alias.

I am not against the idea that Red is actually her father.
but if Liz did shoot her father,
That wold mean that Red Faked the shooting somehow and then Came back into her life in a very public way.
That does not make sense to me .
He would not have to fake his death in order to be out of her life.
And why would he want Liz shooting him to be part of the plan?

We do know some of Liz's memories of that incident have been altered in some way so we don't know what really happened except that even her own memory can't be trusted.

Was there a new ep this week? My DVR didn't record anything.

Ugh thanks! I'll look for it on OnDemamd.

I enjoyed the episode but I expected more out of the Tom storyline.

The Drexel and The Caretaker were two more great additions to the Blacklist's mythos.

The painting left for Red was interesting, I don't think it can be long before the real truth comes out regarding Red and Katerina Rostova.

Tom's adventures with his ex were fun but I have a bad feeling about this upcoming wedding. :nrv: Margarita Levieva is so sexy, I've thought since Allegiance that she'd make a great Catwoman.

I am enjoying the snippy banter between Samar and Ressler. :D

The Blacklist Casting New Big Bad With 'Shocking, Intimate' Ties to Red

Here’s the full character description: “Charming and charismatic, he is a multi-national businessman whose strong personal ethics and whip-sharp intelligence have made him a major player on the world stage. He is now using his power and resources to strike back against his longtime nemesis, Raymond Reddington.”

What’s more, Kirk and Red “share a history fraught with lies and betrayal, with Kirk connected to one of the most intimate, shocking secrets from Red’s past.”

They should cast Shatner :o

Glad to see another nemesis for Red coming on board.
Sounds like one way or another, the truth will out.

The Blacklist spinoff planned Starring Famke Janssen

Janssen will be introduced in the May 5 episode before the planted spinoff. She will play Susan “Scottie” Halsted. It will be the female lead if NBC proceeds with the series, a decision that likely will be made in the next month and a half.

No details are being provided on Janssen’s character or the storyline for the spinoff, but I hear that Scottie Halsted was conceived to be to Tom (Ryan Eggold) what Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) is to Liz (Megan Boone). Actresses in their 60s and 50s were considered for the role. Making Episode 322 a planted spinoff was contingent on finding a star name to play Scottie, with the contingency lifted by the casting of Janssen.

Hmm so Toms mom?

Did she have him when she was 10? :o

Ryan Eggold was born 1984 and Janssen 1964.
