Nearly finished

Updates on the shocker gauntlets. I added the palm portion and the bridge that holds it to the wrist cover. I know it looks a little off now due to the different materials but once this thing is primed and painted its going to be rockin

I put in a little time on my full size Wolvie (well four foot 6 anyways) skeleton with adamantium covered bones. Its going to be a friggen show stopper. A buddy of mine at a machine shop is making the claws from grade 4 aluminium (aircraft stiffness) and buffing them to chrome. This thing when done will be the centerpiece of my collection.

Im starting to worry about the price of these things.

I think they will finish out somewhere (depending on shipping costs) at 90 bucks or so. Is that still in your price range?

Oh, well thats fine. I was thinking more along the lines of $150-$200 :D

$90 is damn good.

You definitely should score those gauntlets Doom.

Also, SK15, thanks for the progress pics. It's coming out very cool. I have total faith they will be awesome. Keep it up bro.

I am hoping to glue some parts together this weekend and paint next week. Then work on the display and the electrical portions.

I WANT THEM!!!

I could probably sell them on eBay for twice the price :D

You'd be one tremendous jerk-off if you did that Dr Doom...

...but what the hell am I talkin' about, you already are one.

True true, but I was only kidding. Im gonna put those babies in a 2 inch thick bulletproof glass display case with trip wires surrounding every side.

I finished the wiring for the LED power display on the left gauntlet. wired in the thumb operated switch and riveted the pieces together. The first coat of primer is dry. I am going to be sad to part with this piece. It is a very unique piece that would look great in my hall of heroes/villians. I am working on the display case now that the paint is drying. I think this will really set the display off. it has two upright columns of clear plastic that are lit from hidden compartments in the base, the gauntlets hang off the top and are lit from the column. I am debating what font to use on the vinyl to finish it off with, but rest assured it will be a nice finished look.

Oh, and just out of curiosity, what is your Wolverine skeleton gonna cost you to do?

Awesome work, man. It makes me wanna try my hand at prop building.

SK! I'm still waiting on your e-mail man, what happened?

the wolvie claws alone will be over $150 bucks not to mention the fullsize skeleton and all the plastic for the adamantium. Im thinking somewhere in the 300 range with a decent display

Yeah, that's not bad at all. I was expecting way more. I'm dying to hit you up for some kind of a custom, but I want to come up with the perfect piece. I just haven't thought of it yet.

here is the left side gauntlet primed and wired. You can almost make out the LED for the power display in the middle of the forearm.

There are alot of little pieces that will be added after the first coat of paint is dry to make it all come together

Very cool.

It'll be no time before it's done. Hey SK, you plan on giving the gauntlets more of a brushed aluminum type look or a chrome look?

Yeah, that would be awesome.

So are you saying that there is an actual switch that turns it on, thats bad-ass!

I think soemthin' with a lil more of a lightning or static look would be better.

But it for you so its whatever. BTW Doomie, I'll be headin' out tomorrow and I'll see if I can find you that X2 Iceman like you wanted.
