I believe a prosecutor works for the state (district attorney) and brings a criminal suit against someone accused of a crime in the state's name.

I don't think a plaintiff's attorney has another name other than the Plaintiff's Attorney, as opposed to the Defendent's Attorney.

That's just a general name for a lawyer, I don't think there is any definite term for the plaintiff's attorney.

Depending on what the lawyer's work deals with, they could also be called....civil litigation attorneys.
