Wow, I spend one morning/afternoon away from the Hype and this is what happens.

Is IKEA good? I heard IKEA sucked.

I shop online using Linens and Things,Target,Pier 1 Imports,Ikea,Crate and Barrel,Pottery Barn,Bombay,Bed Bath and Beyond. Start in the clearence section.

I got my bed from Linen's Things on line,metal canopy bed.

It's pricey but the stuff is good. Ethan Allen.

Ikea is good if you are a college student or a starting couple working on a real tight budget. The furniture is alright but mostly everything is pressed wood.

IKEA is great! The quality isn't the best but they've got really cool stuff for a great price. It's so much fun to walk around an IKEA. It's geared mostly toward college students and people who live in apartments, though, due to its minimalist style. I got a bookshelf/room divider and a bed for my new apartment from IKEA and my mom and I put it all together in one morning.

Big Lots is an everything store, and they have great deals on couches and shelves and desks and stuff. My mom got meh-quality bookshelves from there, but they were like $15 each and they did the job. While my mom was shopping at Big Lots, my dad fell asleep on one of the couches, LOL.

Craigslist (http://craigslist.org) is also a great place for furniture, cheap too. Sometimes you can get a really great deal.
