Can anyone tell me which specific line this Spider-Man figure came from. The year on the bottom of his foot says 1997, but I was unable to find any info. Any help would be appreciated.

was there a MvC line along with the MvC2 line? cuz i know MvC2 had a line... but that def is not the spidey from it

ya thats the line i was talking about... cuz i have that.. lol and i knew that wasnt the same spidey

That is the Web Flyer Spiderman with Steel Spider Flyer...though you don't have the flyer.

It was released in january 1998 by toybiz, hence the 1997 stamp. It was part of the Spiderman TAS Line, wave 16: Sneak Attack Web Flyers.

Also in that wave were:

Copter Spider-Man with Web Copter Flyer
Hobgoblin with Pumpkin Bomb Flyer
Carnage Spider with Carnage Flyer

Anyway...BAM

Now please all bow down before the Action Figure Knowledge GOD.....me.

rough... just means you have too much time on your hands :-P

btw, i think that mold has been used a bunch too... not positive... but i think it was used alot...

actually might be flip and trap spidey as well.. that came with a playset..

The body was used a lot yes, but they would always make new heads (Different Eyes) and different hands, so most Spideys were all different what with different Head/hand/paint combos.

I truly believe in my heart of hearts that runaway boulder has himself a Wave 16 Web Flyers Spidey Sans Steel Spider Flyer.

As for too much time...hell that took me about ten minutes to find because my brain knew it was likely from TAS, and my breain knew that since it was stamped with 1997 I should start around wave ten and go up from there.

Ansd hey....I can't pose so let me have something.

i dunno... i remember having a few spideys that were packin's that were very cheap... one looking just like that and it was all plastic.. hardly any paint job on it... which would explain why (other then obvious camera quality) the red looks so pale

Thanks for the help. It's not really that pale, that's just my *****ty camera phone. This is my favorite Spidey figure.

I remember reading about it in Toyfare or something like that, so I went out and picked it up. It resembles how Spider-Man was drawn in the 90's, and I think it was the first figure that really captured that look. I was just wondering what line it came from, and how much it was going for nowadays.

tiz kinda sad your favorite spidey is build like any fig, hardly poseable... and doesnt even have his webs painted on :(

It really won't be worth a lot...it's only ten years old.....it's loose and doesn't have all the parts....I'd say under a buck....

You should really pick up one of the more modern ones...they are so much better...but yeah, this one looks great for it's time.

actually it sucks for its time... lol the capcom one was like a year later. or 2 later if that.. and has like a million and a half better sculpt

infact the torpedo boobed black cat and silver sable, and phage and spider-carnage all came around the same time as that one... and kick its ass harcore in the sulpt department haha

Those things were awesome! I had all of them. That was the coolest looking carnage figure. I used to attach them to a shelf then across the room to my bed. The Hobgoblin threw the pumpkins. Awesome. I'm going to look for them right now a set them up...

the carnage repaint was better... that came in a venom vs carnage pack a few years later... and the hobgoblin was awsome.. which they again repainted for a even better hobgoblin and green goblin

i remeber the x-men ones got cancled ... which is sad cuz the jean one looked amazing
