I want to build a website for my church. Where can I download free software for website buidling?

Thanks for the help.

Go to Start Menu --> All Programs --> Microsoft Office --> Microsoft Office FrontPage

I would reccommend
buying DreamWeaver....

But if you want to go the free route...
Try
KompoZer

its great little tool for editing websites...free...opensource...and growing.

^Yep notepad ++ is a pretty good tool for coding basically anything not only HTML. I like that it organizes the syntax in a nice tree like structure and different colors. Like JBuilder.:up:

There a much better alternative to all of the above. If you use a content manages system called Concrete5 it'll do most of the work for you, and there's no need for any coding or WYSIWYG applications like dreamweaver or Kompozer. You basically click on an element on the page like text or an image and edit it. Theres a video demo on the site and you can try your hand at it as well.

I use this on my site.

Just looks like a web page design tool....limited but works

It's a full content management system. It lets you analyse your web traffic, transfer files from your local machine, comes with premade blocks such as image galleries and video player. Entirely modular and if you add a page it updates the menu structure on each page limiting the amount of work you have to do.
If I want to hard code something then I use Quanta Plus and just edit the php or css of the backend but its rare I need to.

I dont like kompozer. im looking into concrete5. but i need more software downloads. so again will you guys help me?
