Here's a new idea. It's a super team called "The Argonauts." The idea is supposed to be for a sort of dream TV show, which sort of depicts what a super hero team in a very high tech, sci-fi city would be like if it really happened. It would be a comedy, and most of the episodes would take place in the lul periods between missions, with some big action and a real villain every once and a while. It would sort of be like Spaced meets The Authority. The characters are:
Ed Harris: A fairly well known actor, comedian, and writer of TV shows and comics, and secretly the mastermind who brought the group together. Has no super powers, and isn't technically a member, but has a keen analytical mind. He dresses in a suit and tie, and wears sunglasses with rounded lenses. Physically, he's a tall, broad shouldered fellow standing at around 6'3''.
Captain: Former Israeli Special Forces, he was physically enhanced through a series of surgical and chemical treatments. He's Captain America, basically. Looks a bit like a member of The Ulitmates, with a super hero version of a military uniform and body armor. His suit is decorated with the colors and symbol of the Israeli flag.
Steel Hero: A Japanese pilot who has a 20 foot tall humanoid mech, equipt with a series of lethal and non lethal weapons, including machine guns, bomds, and tasers. The design of the robot should be very retro sci-fi, like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.
Faith: A Baptist from Texas with a healing touch. Wears all white, and sun glasses with silver lenses. Thinks that her code name is fairly unorigional.
Fred Sullivan: A super genuis and inventor, who wields a laser gun of his own invention, as well as a gun that shoots "taser bullets." Designed almost all of the tech used by the team. Is an athiest, and although he's come to believe in some super natural stuff from his time on the team, he tends to explain it through Psychology and Quantum Phsyics. Has an on again/off again romantic relationship with Faith, which is streigned because he ends up sticking insulting her religion alot. Wears 30s style mad scientist goggles and a white lab coat, because it's cool.
Donner: A german with superhuman strength. Wears bulky armor that protects him from injury and boosts his strength even further. His costume should be adorned with lighting patterns, and mayber Thor related iconography.
Wraith: A vigilante from the American mid west. Very much in the vein of The Shadow, with a fedora, a long black trench coat, and duel weilded hand guns. Wears a black helmet/mask that completely conceals his face, and has night vision capabilities and can serve as a gas mask. His guns fire three kinds of bullets: Regular, rubber, and tranquelizer.
Erik Lund: A stage magician and mystical magician from Las Vegas. Has strawberry blond hair, and wears very fancy, custom made black and white clothes. Has a mystical pendant around his neck, and carries an umbrella that also serves as a cane, with a handle that twists off to become a daggar.
William: A mysteriosu fellow who follows Erik around and is very similar toi an urban legend from Texas about a ghostly vigilante. Resembles James Marsters, the man who played Spike on Buffy, but with red eyes, a red trench coat, and brown spikey hair.
Jetman: A former air force pilot and the team's pilot. Has a specialized, super sonic jet big enough for the whole team. Also wears an Iron Man style armor, the controls for which can interface with his plane.
John Murray: A marine biologist and adventurer. He's the adventurer of the group. A bit like Jaques Custeau with a good right hook. Sometimes wears an undersea equivalent of Jetman's armor. Often carries a machine gun on land, and has helped build a device that enables him to communicate with doplhins.
Sparky: An Australian woman with the ability to absorb and emit massive amounts of electricity. Wears a special suit that enables her to control this ability.
Psionic Man: A young man from Spain with powerful telekinesis. Not sure what his costume should look like, but I imagined it mostly being black and blue and made of leather.
Shanti: An old friend of Erik's. Raised by monks in India from birth, she is a fairly skilled mystic herself, capable of levitation and limited telekinesis. He taught Psionic Man how to control his powers. She usually wears green robes all the time, and from what little you see is pretty easy on the eyes.
Takato: The inheritor of a Japanese electronics company and the secret financer of the group. Dresses a bit like your standard computer geek when not in the board room.
Henry: A powerful psychic from Maine. Doesn't like wearing a costume, and considers himself more of a consultant. Helped Ed found the team in the first place.
Svarog: A Russian with the power of flight, enhanced reflexes and reaction time, and a small degree of super strength, all steming from his ability to manipulate his body's magnetic field and fly. Wears a dark blue leather costume, looking somewhat retro sci-fi, with a red cape and red gloves. Also wears a blue mask with goggles, resembling an old school pilot's mask.
