Needing some help with internet crap

I'm not sure if this goes in the 'Tech and Support' forums because this is not Hype related...but...I hope someone can help me here... I can't view videos on anything but youtube. and now, when I go to my photobucket and highlight a pic to copy the IMG link, the links are all white just like my videos...

firefox, hasnt happened before today. its wierd..just videos and the 'links' in photobucket are all white (as far as I've seen)

You should check if you have installed an add-on that's impeding the flash player of youtube from working. Try to update the Firefox browser, and check if in any other browser you have the same issue.

Edit: Also, try updating the Flash Player.

I updating firefox, updated flash, and ran a virus scan.. still white all on videos, except youtube works, and still the links on my photobucket are also whited out.

and i just noticed..when I do highlight a picture on photobucket, it brings up the list of 4 different links... but then in a split second you see the link but it goes all white/

The problem is with the new adobe flash i think...read up on the issues with the latest flash update and how it is screwing things on firefox.

Watch it work on IE.

I tried to stream a movie and make the screen fullscreen and it cause problems...I think your issue is with flash

Yep... in photobucket when you highlight a image...it will pop up with 4 links. once the links pop up it they quickly change to white bars. above each bar it says 'Block...' which I am assuming is adblock plus... so I checked adblock and it isnt blocking them so yea I have no idea what the heck is going on.

I haven't gotten chrome yet, I've use firefox for a long time and it has never happened before.

It would be one thing if the links and videos didnt show up at all, but they show up for a split second then go all white. that is just weird to me. If I download chrome does it have a feature that transfers my bookmarks, etc from Firefox?

Yes, you can create an html file to create a backup for your bookmarks. Go to your bookmarks library, and select the option "Import and Backup" from the above menu. Select the "Backup" option and name the backup file, save it, and when you are done from installing Chrome, you can load the backup file from the "Import bookmarks and settings" from the Bookmarks option of the configuration tools.

Ok, so chrome is pretty awesome, and it doesn't have the white out stuff happening... I'm assuming that means it is just a Firefox issue?

also, on chrome, is there anyway to move the tabs to underneath the bookmarks etc? I dont like the tabs being the very top of the browser

I don't think so. You'll get used to it, latest version of Firefox has this layout too.

Yea i scanned, no viruses found. I'm about to buy a new laptop anyway, but I'm giving this one to my sister so I don't want to give her a f'd up laptop.

What else did the virus do?

Slowing icons started to disappear on the toolbar and Firefox would close every 5 minutes.It was a disaster.I tried everything to save that computer.It wasn't mine and I was borrowing though.It was my sisters after I messed up my other computer that I borrowed from my other sister,after I messed up my other computer.t:
