I have not heard much about this movie yet and there doesn't seem to be any updates on the IMDB or official site.

Anyone have screenshots?

I SO cannot wait for this. I've probably been as excited about this as LOTR and Spiderman

Looks neat.

I have the book, but haven't read much of it. It's about a small town in England which is surrounded by a wall leading into the woods which they do not cross. Once every few years there is a festiival that brings the people of the town and the people of the woods (fairies, gnomes, magical creatures, etc.) together. The hero of the story is attempting to win the heart of a girl. A star falls from the sky and he has to go retrieve it to win her heart which means he has to go beyond the gate. That's it in a nutshell.

I'm a Gaiman junkie so I'm definitely looking forward to this.

Not really one of my favorite Neil Gaiman stories, but I´m looking forward to see it.

I agree its not his best work, but its still a lovely little page turner. Im rather hopeful that it makes shedloads of bunce so we see a big screen treatment of neverwhere

I thought everything Gaiman wrote was gold. What do you consider to be his best works?

well, being from London, Im quite fond of Neverwhere. I use the underground system everyday, so it makes it feel more real to me. Ive just got American Gods, waiting for Anansi Boys to come out in paperback.

In comics form, im quite partial to Books of magic and harr...I mean terry Hunter

Was, in the end, disappointed by Mirrormask, which I thought would be enchanting, but, IMO, didnt live up to the potential that was in it (it had some wonderful moments. the out of tune "why do birds suddenly appear" makeover being one of them)

American Gods was amazing, and Anansi Boys just hit paperback where I live.

I love this one.

Michelle Pfeiffer (?) looks a lot like Cate Blanchett in this pic.

Although I'm not very thrilled about Claire Danes as Fallen Star. She is just so plain.

She may be plain, but she's a good actress. It could have been much worse.

Wow, I didn't know they were making a movie based on a Neil Gaiman book! This is exciting! I've read "American Gods" and loved it, so I am really looking forward to this. I'm also in the process of reading "Neverwhere", which is also really good.

Oh My God! There’s Actually A STARDUST Trailer?! Well, Sort Of...

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here. This certainly is not what any real trailer’s going to look like, but it seems to be a quick promotional reel that shows just a hint of the main story set-up, and then a quick barrage of imagery.

And, no, I don’t know why something like this pops up on a Russian site when Paramount hasn’t even cut a domestic trailer or finalized a poster design for the film yet. At the moment, they’re still trying to figure out how to advertise it without calling it a “fairy tale” (which it is) or comparing it to THE PRINCESS BRIDE (a beloved classic that didn’t make a ton of money in the theater), something which appears to have sent their marketing department into a state of near-paralysis.

C’mon already... this stuff looks great. I’d love to see a real trailer sometime soon.

Hi, AICN folks,
I'm here to inform that the very first trailer for Neil Gaiman's adaptation "Stardust" is now online. You can watch it by following the link

I'm in Poland.

Lots of you have written in this morning to let me know that there's a Stardust sort-of-trailer up on a Russian site.

I just looked at it -- it's not an actual trailer, and it seems to be a bunch of shots cobbled together from unfinished CGI footage and has some Pirates of the Caribbean music on it, and I'm not sure who did it or for what, and it honestly isn't something I'd feel good about linking to and saying "This is a Stardust Trailer". So I won't. It should take you a second or two to find it with a google if you go looking for it. It's possible this might encourage Paramount to bring the real trailer out a week or two earlier than they were going to, but I believe the trailer will be out in the next three weeks anyway.

This looks terrible... You're right, the trailer wasn't really a finished trailer, and if anything has ruined my outlook on it even more unfortunately. I don't know, it just looks cheesy and horrible... :(

I couldn't stand MirrorMask, infact I turned off halfway. Watching it was like taking powerful drugs.
