just thought i'd share, i thought it was rather quite spoilery, as in it obviously looks like a massive action scene and by some sort of park and it deals with zombies... I didn't know Elysium even dealt with that

So this could potentially be a futuristic sci-fi zombie movie with Jason Bourne and Wikus Van Der Merwe?

If you look under the photo in the link, it says ELYSIUM.

Oh okay, totally missed that.

Honestly they just look like a punch of muscle men attacking the guy with the sword. Could be zombies though.

why did you hope for november/december? more time for post production?

Putting it out during holidays in 2012 wasn't a great idea. Elysium would have to compete with Superman and the Hobbit.

Well, it seems like they'd be finished shooting by the end of this year. Eight months of post -- and a late summer/early fall 2012 date seemed likely.

My guess is that Sony wants to avoid competition for fall 2012.

i didnt even notice the year 2013.

holly s.... 2013? noooooooooooooooooooooooo :wow:

2012 is pretty packed so I'm fine with 2013 being the release date.

William Fichtner is in talks for 'Elysium'

William Fichtner is in final negotiations to re-team with his "Contact" co-star Jodie Foster in Neill Blomkamp's sci-fi epic "Elysium."

July 20, 2011

One of the first major viral events of Comic-Con 2011 has been spotted in the form of the below poster. Advertising a company called Armadyne, the ARG involves a (pending) application process that looks for "zero g welders, mega-structure engineers, quantum networkers" and experts in "zero g coupling and multi-generational planning".

ComingSoon.net has learned that the game ties into the upcoming Neill Blomkamp project Elysium, set for release on March 1, 2013.

Starring Sharlto Copley, Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Wagner Moura, Alice Braga and Diego Luna, Blomkamp's followup to District 9 is said to be set in the far future on another planet will feature many sociopolitical ideas wrapped up inside an action film.

Just that video alone got me excited, I know I'll see this day one.

So is this Wagner Moura's first English language movie? I wonder how his English is.

Shot of Damon in Vancouver on July 19th as he gets set to film this. Click it for the gallery over on JustJared.

Prisoner? Marine? Criminal? Jason Satham's son? My oh my the possibilities.

That Armadyne video has a total Weyland Yutani feel about it.

I do like that every big sci-fi film seems to follow the trend of having one of their leading cast members shave their head. It's a weird occurrence.

everyone looks badass withthout hair. for example also Heisenberg ;)

Very true. It's funny how much more badass shaving your head can make you look. Take Michael Chiklis. You watch him on The Commish and he looks like a f**king dork. But then you watch him in The Shield and he looks like someone who could beat you into a coma. Amazing what a razor and a little time in the gym can do.
