Half the smartphone industry is in violation if it is.

Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Droid_(robot) Hmm you're right, the term does belong to Lucasfilm (I guess Disney now). I wonder if anything will come of that.

Which is ridiculous anyway, since android is a word that is thousands of years old, and droid is just a shortening of that.

Apparently HTC has payed Lucas to use it.

Mondo is releasing this poster by Martin Ansin. Ansin has been tearing it up for the past year with great posters for Man of Steel and Looper as well.

I like the coloring of the Comicon variant more actually.

Damn that's a boring ass poster.

This demonstrates my problem with companies like Mondo. They produce great, officially licensed posters for movies, and some have been made available at IMAX showings, but in the end it doesn't really do anything to improve the quality of posters that will be hanging in your local megaplex.

Yeah the Mondo, ShoutFactory, and even the IMAX midnight posters are the ones you want to buy nowadays.

I love that his gun jams in that clip. Nothing big but it's a nice little touch. Also the soundtrack sounds great.

I like how the bullets exploded right before they made contact with the droid.

From what I've seen this should be the front runner to win the vfx Oscar.

Much like District 9...I have a feeling this will be on the list of one of the best sci-fi films of our generation.

The sad thing is I'm hearing from people I know that they can't seem to get their friends interested in seeing it. That REALLY puzzles me.

Just saw a trailer on the big screen, looked incredible, could be something special.

I'm really curious how this will do at the box office. I'm thinking an opening weekend between 20-40 million. All that matters to me is that the film is good, but I would love to see something not based on anything do well.

Rumors that Sony is not screening the movie for reviewers, very surprising news.
