That's very interesting because in 6 years, Superman has forgotten how to ride a bike, so to speak. It's almost like a neo-origin story in that Supes is starting anew. He has to regain the confidence of the people he is protecting....again.

a) I think there is a very good reason why he messes up when in fact, since this movie uses Superman: The Movie, he succeed first hand in that movie saving the airplane there.

b) While still a snapshot, Superman (and costume) is in action still. What are you guys thinking now, even the people who disliked/hated the costume, of the costume seeing those pics?

5 years have passed but for him it would have been a much shorter time because relativity. I think he just goofed up and didn't expect the wing to rip off, it is a new plane/shuttle after all.

Oh man I hope thta when I wake up tomorrow morning the clip is online, it will make my day and I know it will make it for everyone else here.Oh and I love that his hair is moving,probably after the end of each high speed flying action sequence in which his hairdo gets wasted, we will see the next scene start with his hair being in place perfectly combed with spit curl and all,but then again as good as the hair moving is you can't have supe's hair uncombed, it takes part of his elegance,if you know what I mean,apart from than in action its cool to see his hair affected by air, it has a realistic touch to it

I heard about that as well. Very creative idea, much different than S:TM. I will go out on a limb and call that "action" for those doubting.

Supes has to not only get the prototype challenger that Lois is in, but also the Boeing 777 that was towing it in the air.

Link, please. saving 2 planes shouldn't take 10 minutes, much less 25. That's way too long for as much as they have to do in this film. That'd be like spending 15 minutes JUST on the helicopter rescue.

I'd say anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes would be good for the plane save. 25 minutes would be pushing it.

i'll try to find it. I don't think that the 25 minutes is SOLELY on saving the planes, but the entire sequence (them getting on teh plane, and after he's saved it) will probably be about that long.

"You see the plane flying along, then the engine blows out. Supes cruises in looking calm and collected. You can see flames behind him so it must be the front of the wing he grabs. You see the pilot and co-pilot jerk when he grabs the plane. The close-ups of his face looking back are sort of him looking back, acessing situation. He looks so cool and collected throughout the whole thing like, "This is my job. I'm Superman. I can handle this." It looks more like he has plenty of power for the job. He just has to use it wisely doing this."

thats what I was figuring, the Helicoptor part in the first film is about 10 minutes.
