I didn't mind the demo at all, but I will never, ever play Free For All Death Match. Every stinking time I'd get a kill someone would just be standing behind me waiting on me to finish the kill scene or whatever and promptly do the same to me...that's not fun.

I'll play team death match, or the other game types but NO way will I ever return to FFADM.

I'm with you on that, it was weird having to look out for other aliens, by instinct I'd think the different factions would be working together.

This demo is way better than the boring a** BF:BC2 demo, I don't see why people are thinking it will be better than MW2, hell it won't even be better than this game.

You don't happen to be DarthJones on AvPGalaxy, do you?

I would have liked a single player demo too...or maybe just a SP demo in general. At least being able to play a "training level" of each species before jumping into the MP aspect. The controls were pretty confusing at first, granted...once you got the hang of them it was ok.

I do hate going from an Alien, to a marine, back to an alien....weeeird.

Jumping into the cold water is sometimes the best way to learn. It really only took me two tries to get used to the Alien. The Predator took more getting used to because his weapons really require skill.

While these player triggered scripted animations look cool I can see them getting old fast.

I barely even use them. I only use them when I know no one else is around. And there's a certain satisfaction when you look your victim in the eyes as you impale him.

Love this game, brings back memories. Though one thing sucks. I remember in 2001 with the last AvP online there was no headsets for the most part back then. So all you saw was people in text mimicking lines from Aliens or Predator.....now with voice I hear a bunch of annoying idiots talking like Dutch, or Hudson.

Yep. Im not fond of any free for all deathmatch, but even more so in this game. Altho for the most part, when ever iv played, everyone who is controlling the same species tends to team up. Only a few times have i played where everyone is killing everyone else. I cant wait to play the official species team deathmatch tho.

I thought so too, but there is a good number of them, so i dont think they'll get as old as some kill moves from past games. Then again, its a video game, after u soak 20 plus hours into it, everything gets old.

Haha im guilty of that. I did the same when Ghostbusters came out, i was dropping lines form that film as well.

LOL! Well I admit I threw a few in there, but there was a round where I was kicking these two guys' asses and they were just annoying to begin with. And lets say they just went overboard with the lines, and did not do the best job lol.

I admit I said: "Game over man! Game over!" I'm guilty of a small thing like that

Haha. I dont think its possible to play as a marine and not say "Game over man! Game over" at least once.

Yea, it gets easier tho. Im getting quite comfortable with the xenomorph now. Predator is still my fav but there is something to be said about forcing your tail through the back of a marines head out through his throat.

I really suck with the Predator. They're a blast to use but I suck royally with them. The alien is alot easier to use once you get going with it and they are awesome. The marine is fun to use but just not as fun. I'm shocked at how balanced the game feels.

Yea i agree. Iv spent a good deal of time on the demo and the winning species has been fairly varied. I mean iv won with all 3 species multiple times. Im most comfortable with the Predator. I cant wait to see what other skins there are for the Predator, it appears as tho there is going to be a nice variety.

I've won matches with the alien and the marine, I love using the predator but i just suck with it. I was thinking about just renting this game but I don't know I'm addicted to the online right now and this is only deathmatch and I hate deathmatchs on all games. I may have to buy this to get my fill on some team deathmatch.

Yea im with you. Im loving the multiplayer and thats just this one map and one game mode, which i dont generally care for(free for all death match).

Im really excited for this game. I cant wait to play through the campaigns and try out those other online game modes.

Gradually getting more & more used to this, got 22 kills with Alien earlier

Also been the Predator a few times, I dunno if anyone else knows this however if you hold focus you can make large long distance jumps.. I didn't know how to do it anyway I just saw a few Predators in high places.
By far the Predator has the most difficult learning curve, certain weapons drain you of power so its important to make each attack count. I found the giant spear earlier & had some great fun eliminating the other Predator who kept coming back to this one high ledge.

The melee system is a little confusing though at times, you have no clue whether you are hitting your enemy or not.. particularly Aliens, Marines only require 2 blows, Aliens seem to be able to take 3 & 4 sometimes.

At this point I will definatly get the game, I have a feeling the other modes might well be more appealing to myself as well as other maps. The one only usable one in my opinion seems to favour the Alien & Marines more than the Predators.

I'm really looking forward to the hunting game, it would be so satisfying to eliminate a group of player controlled Marines un-detected

Whats wrong with Bad Company 2? Aside from a small map It seems pretty good.
The amount of destructibility and the ambiance created by the terrific sound effects were pretty impressive.

Honestly, I don't like the gameplay. COD is way more fun IMO.

I found the demo to be pretty cool. I like how the different classes have different play styles.
