Kyle MacLachlan is providing the voice of Superman in Justice League: The New Frontier, the direct-to-video animated movie based on Darwyn Cooke's DC Comics series.
MacLachlan, 48, is perhaps best known from Twin Peaks and as Orson Hodge on Desperate Housewives. His dozens of credits also included Sex and the City, Showgirls and The Doors.
Warner Bros. Animation is not commenting on any casting for any of its direct-to-DVD films based on DC properties.
However, some information might be forthcoming at Wonder Con in San Francisco on Saturday at the DC Universe: Super Heroes Go DVD panel, which will feature Warner's Bruce Timm and DC's Dan DiDio and Gregory Noveck.
