I just watched the teaser reel and New Frontier is going to be awesome.
Once again I don't understand why it has to be under 2 hours when it is on dvd and they can do more but anyway, Darwyn Cooke said the script proved him wrong that it wouldn't be as good in that time frame, but it turned out to work, so that is good to hear.
Kyle Mcgloughlin is a great 50's Superman, he'd be a good modern one aswell, but he sounds great as this Superman.
It'll be so amazing to finally see Hal Jordon as The Green Lantern, it's a shame he wasn't GL in JL or JLU TAS, just because they had to throw a black character in there, if you want a black character in there then use one but, don't push off to the side a character who had every right to be in a modern cartoon that would finally show GL done the right way, Hal's been around for decades and he is the one fans want to see brought to life, I'm tired of just seeing him done stiffly in an old Superfriends cartoon, time to give him his do.
and believe me I'd have been just as miffed if Rayner was GL instead, it's just that, don't do something just to try and be p.c., get over that and just bring these characters to life.
time to give the man his do. Like in JL TAS it was a chance to bring these characters to life respectfully and done well, unlike Superfriends. all the classics made it except for Hal, it was stupid and for a dumb reason.
Anyway.
New Frontier's a great GN, and the movie looks to be very well done. The DC dvds are going to be better and more faithful than Marvel's crap that they've done so far, they can learn a few things from DC, after seeing Superman/Doomsday I was blown away.
S/D was what Superman Returns should have been, DC just needs to work on its live action movies, but with these Timm movies being this great I am not complaining, and Bruce Timm said there's more on the way with DC's huge cast of characters!t:
