Saw two new spots this afternoon with a bit of new footage. Movie actually is starting to look kind of fun. Tatum almost seems committed to his role and Ripcord's not coming across as a complete doof. The "green stuff" that eats the Eiffel Tower is apparently some kind of liquid that the nanomites are in, and damn it, I can't wait for Snake Eyes VS Storm Shadow. "American Badass" indeed...

I just saw 2 of them. The BEST part was when Baroness says she thinks Snake Eyes quit and Storm Shadow says "He never quits." :woot:

This may have already been discussed, but isn't it kind of odd to be so close to release yet the TV spots say the film has not yet been rated.

I thought that would have typically been taken care of by now.

weird how they put kid rock- american badass in the tv spot when i thought they were calling the g i joes an international team? instead of an american team like they were in the old series.

Ah dude I just saw that tv spot on Adult Swim. That was so bad-ass when SS said "He never quits." And then SE slams his katana through the roof. Plus thats the first time we've heard SS talk.

its a catchy tune.....i think they're going for a "team members are from the best in the world, but is essentially under american command"

Yeah spot #4 has made it look the best IMO.

Loved the line from SS about SE "Never giving up" and then Scarlett patching up one of the Joes (couldn't tell, but don't think it was Wayans) the sensitive line was funny, but not too much.

It's looking pretty decent. Beattie did write this, so don't dismiss the action clips you're seeing as that is just part of the flick.

The new commercials definitely got me pumped. I loved the "He never gives up" line from #3, and the presence of the song "American Bad Ass" in #4 brought a smile to my face. :)

The "he never quits" bit was pretty awesome. Almost gives you a glimmer of hope.

Double post.

I love Dennis Quaid....he said he had a great time as General Hawk and is signed for a sequel

Honestly, I don't see why so many on these boards are hating on this movie. Everything i've seen thus far suggests a really fun ride...that's all I want out of GI JOE.

:woot:

Every year the internet needs that one movie to scapegoat, it's tradition. 2002 was Scooby-Doo, 2005 was Fantastic Four, this year it's this.
