Listen!!!... They have included the KRYPTON THEME on the album. Why would they use the Krypton theme, if Krypton wasn't at least seen ONES in this movie (or what's left of it!)... I just dont buy the fact that they've made a huge set, AND DISPLAYING THE DOME (from STM!) if they weren't sure that it would be seen in the film! Seeing the Dome ones again would surdently give a beautiful connection to the first Donner film, and that MUST be in order!!! ...

Besides, in the teaser, we see the spacescraft flying through the canyons of Krypton, for petes sake!!! We even see in one of the blogs, that Singer is sitting in front of the computer directing this very sequence, og how he wants it to look. We hear him talk about it! ALSO, need I remind you people that the scene of supes in the spaceship flying through the remains of Krypton, was ALSO shown at ShoWest!!

We WILL see this... I dont know for how long, but we will see SOMETHING... If I see the Dome and a little of Supes flying near Krypton, I'm happy... than I dont mind if the rest is explained! But we better see something.
they will show very little but they will nto show everything. and i guess this is a lot of CGI effects. WB likes to throw away money

^why do you say CG??? What is shown in the teaser is NOT CG, and neither is the Dome, so what's this talk about CGI?

Don't you mean the ship flying through the canyon on Krypton? THat's CGI and probably models combined. Either way, if they don't use it, I feel bad for the people who worked on those scenes...the effort....the restless nights.....for nothing!

I think we're confusing each other here man:)...
Yes, I know that supes spacecraft is CG (of course)... but Krypton is a beautiful miniature, and that's art! If they dont show that in the film, I'll be highly dissapointed... But I really think they will, I dont know what the hell Dougherty is rambling about... But I'm almost positive that we'll see the scene that is also seen in the teaser, and we will see the Dome, also... they can't get around that.. I'm sure Dougherty was talking about what supes actually did there, the time he was present.. that's what will be explained to us, and maybe that'll work better even.

PS: They have the Krypton melody in this film, no ****ing way they will have that and not ONES see Krypton!!!

^yeah well, it's also playing on the freaken website when it opens up... This just can't be... We must see SOMETHING from Krypton... and as weird as this may sound, I DON'T believe Dougherty!!! We've seen too much and heard too much from sneak previews and such, so I refuse to believe it.. we must see something from Krypton.

did you read my post? I said that we heard it at different times in the original movie NOT JUST AT KRYPTON, well, variations of the theme at least. And yeah, I heard it on the website as well...maybe we'll hear it (and variations of it) when his ship is heading towards Earth before it crashes (maybe not in re-entry), maybe we'll hear it in scenes involving the Fortress of Solitude/Jor-El, or in scenes when Superman feels isolated being the only one of his kind on a planet that's not his own (what with him being from KRYPTON and all).

and technically we will see something from Krypton...*COUGH*NewKrypton*Cough*

;)

Yes I just read this int. with mike Dougherty and he basically said that the parts of supes journey its explained but not seen onscreen,it was shot but got cut out. Is this why we haven't seen anything of the ship or krypton ruins in the trailers?Michael Dougherty Interview:

Oh that sucks!

Those chapters when he was there were really captivating!

Its what kept me reading tbh - what he was seeing, experiencing and such.

God wish they wouldnt have cut that out :(

So I guess its "Superman Returning" but from where? ...here & there the home planet, but hey I'm back now!

I hope this doesn't wreck the film.

It shouldn't matter...We'll know possibly through dialogue throughout the beginning of the movie, or we may just see him crash in his ship, denoting that he's "returning" from something. *shrug* You don't need to be able to split atoms to figure that one out.

Yes, but that one chapter in the begining (when he was hovering in his ship above what was left of Krypton) was a very nice read.

Especially when he found the Valley of the Elders, all the thoughts that were going through his mind. All of what he must have felt and why his mother Lara was so drawn to that place.Like the book said - he knew and was drawn to it.All the greatness of what his people must have been like there in the Valley of the Elders - that was amazing to read.

To the point when he saw Sor-El - how he was feeling weak but kept on searching - till he discovered the crack in the Shield of Sor-El.

Then as he was escaping from the planet-without his special abilities to help him escape quicker and all he could say to his ship was "home" that was interesting to wonder what it might have been like on the big screen.

The pain, torn feelings from what he saw, having to leave the death behind, and what about those ghostly figures he thought he saw - but not quite sure if they were real or just a figment of his imagination due to the kryptonite poisoning he was struggling to escape from.

Without the colored inked pages to see - that was some pretty cool stuff to imagine when reading.

heck.....I just want to see the whole book come to life on screen :)

it was good!

While that stuff is intriguing to you and me...I doubt that the mass audience is going to want to sit through all that stuff. Two-and-a-half hours alone is going to get people antsy in their seats after a long sit, in my experiences.
