new marvel fighting game

It's being made by the team that did Fight Night, but I still have zero faith in this game.

You have to remember they also made "Def Jam: BLING BLING HOES SHIZZNIT FO'REAL".
So yeah, no faith yet.

lol..you have the PS3 link posted in the Microsoft section. They better revamp the fighting gameplay bc the one used in Nemesis was bland and bad

ya i didn't notice until after I posted.

Hopefully when they say that their will be large environments they mean like a couple of city blocks that can hopefully be levelled in true superhero fashion. a superhero fighting game should not be like a virtua fighter or tekken, when you get punched it should send you flying thru ****.

Just because they created a game that was aimed towards those who enjoy hip-hop doesnt mean they are any less talented. Hip-Hop is a big seller with todays youth rather you agree with it or not.

For the record, i hate rap.

Why can't we leave the Marvel games to Activision? We haven't forgotten Marvel Nemesis, EA.:cmad:

For me, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 was THE perfect superhero fighting game. I don't think EA can ever capture the magic that game had. :(

No joke. MvC2 = best 2D fighter EVER.

...With SFIII: Third Strike less than a whisker behind. :ninja:

I don't think the idea of 3D martial arts has been adequately captured... you'd need a group of game designers who are into the circular martial arts as opposed to the linear ones... every 3D game I've seen so far has strafing as a sort of 'extra move' with a few strafe type moves... Tekken 5 was the first game i got into where sidestepping is an actual playstyle, and then, only with some characters...

When fighting games become truly 3D (which will need a new camera mechanic) then we'll be getting somewhere... I have a feeling that won't be with superheroes... at least, not first.

Super Street FIghter II Turbo was waaaaaaaaay better than Street FIghter III.

And I prefered MVC over MVC2. The insane skill-less button mashing combo's was a big turn off.

I liked Capcom Vs. SNK 2 too.

Overall I am a huge fan of most all 2D fighting games.

The Soul Calibur series is huge on sidestepping. After playing Soul Calibur, and the sheer ability to move freely, back and forth, all over, makes all other 3D fighing games seem slow and bulky. I played SCIII for hours..then went to Virtua Fighter 5....BLECH. Talk about a change in pace.

Guess what??...I own Marvel vs Capcom 2!!! But I want the first one...
