Tax fat people? Not very American, but I like it. Since in the end we are slaves to money and not video games or wooden sticks, I'm willing to be people would loose weight if it saved them a couple of bucks. Then the US wold cease to be the most obese nation on Earth; we would become healthier, live longer and lead more productive lives. Not to mention all the food that's not being eaten could go to feed the poor and starving. Tax fat people? I'm on board.

Okay, now you're making generalizations. I don't like video games. They don't hold my attention. Plus, I don't see the point to playing video hockey and snowboarding when I do those things in real life. I never once said I fear video games. I just don't see the appeal.

Personally, kids who are lazy will always find a way to be fat and lazy, while kids that are active will always find a way to be active. I don't see videogames making kids much better or worse at anything.

Though I will say there are definately videogames out there that you would think are the cat's meow if you saw them.

Some people are enslaved. I know people who do things like buy new video games and then don't have money for their rent. I know people who have dropped out of college because playing games was much more important than going to class.

I'm not saying that every video gamer is like that. In fact, like you said, fat and/or lazy people will be fat and lazy regardless of the invention of video games.
