The Thor cameo was a retelling of Thor fighting the "Stone Men from Saturn" in his first appearance (Journey into Mystery # 83). Beta Ray Bill wasn't around back then, but other than that the fight came right out of Thor's origin story.

I didn't read the comic, but I read about them. I thought it was alright. I would like to see a WWH though to see more familiar characters. I would really love to see a Secret Invasion, although it would need to be longer than this. It seemed like PH was just not long enough to delve deeper into the story. There was more that they didn't go into. Everything happened a little too fast for my liking.

I agree. I liked this, don't get me wrong. But as the creators said in the 'making of' featurette, to really do PH justice would either take a mini-series or a flat out 6hr movie. I for one would love to see a miniseries that fleshes it all out for PH. Lots of stuff they simply didn't have time to get into in this film. I'd say this film is one of the better Marvel/DC DTV cartoons out there. But I'm still waiting for one of these to measure up to the Spawn HBO miniseries of the 1990's. Granted, that was so superior because they allowed the time(due to it being a miniseries) to flesh out the story completely. Hopefully, Marvel & DC will get on that bandwagon because a lot of the comic book stories are simply too long to really get done justice in an hour and a half cartoon. Would you guys like to see a Dark Knight Returns 80-minute cartoon adaption or as a miniseries?

I suppose it's a bit of a catch-22 when you get right down to it. I've read the PH comics story and so I was well aware of what they had left out or changed and that breeds disappointment. But also since I had read it, I wasn't confused about the story. Now if I hadn't read it, I would not have been disappointed at what they left out but at the same time I would have been very confused by the story. If that makes any sense.

Not bad. I still think Doctor Strange is the best Marvel Animated Film, but this comes in third.

Also, Miek was awesome.

After watching it once, I place Planet Hulk right behind the Hulk VS Wolverine feature.

I wish they would have had the Hulk move the tectonic plates, thus pulling the planet back together. It was one of the greatest Hulk feats of strength, and they cut it out! C'mon, man--we gotta show the Superman fans what's what, here...THAT'S not the scene to cut out!

And how about that fight with Beta Ray Bill, eh? That was the most beaten up the Hulk has ever gotten on-screen. But GEEZ the smack he laid down in retaliation? Yikes! Did you see how fast the Hulk's punches were crashing down on Bill's bloody face?! It was like the Hulk was starting a chainsaw.

I didn't read Planet Hulk but I didn't feel confused about the story at any point.

I got the blu ray disc and then I looked at the package and lo and behold it was set at region A meaning I cannot play it here in Europe . I the decided well I will download the digital copy but of course no can do because it is only available in the US or Canada Itune shops. It pissed me off!!

I have now orderred the DVD version because there is no blu ray for sale here in Europe.

beta was owning hulk though, he only lost because he stopped fighting once hulk broke the thing controlling him
