How do you guys like the Mysterio coming out? When I sold some old stuff, I had enough for that Rhino, and I got enough store credit for Mysterio. Should be awesome.

A guy just got the Mysterio bust, but has not posted pics yet. He said it is awesome, and that the reflection in the helmet effect worked out great.

[The Lizard]

I like Gil Kane's version of The Lizard, but i think for the bust treatment i would have preferred Ditko's version.

I have a soft spot for the classics, lol.

Looks like the Bowen Lizard mini bust won't be released until Spring -- arrgh.

Anyway, I always thought a set of mini-busts or figurines that showed the artistic changes of the Lizard over the years would be really cool.
I think a "History of the Lizard" figurine set should include:

1963 Steve Ditko version (ASM #6)

1967 John Romita version (ASM # 44-45)

1971 Gil Kane version (ASM #101-102)

1977 Ross Andru version (ASM # 166-167)

1984 Mike Zeck version (Secret Wars)

1989 Todd McFarlane version (ASM #313)

1996 Sal Buscema version Lizard-clone (SSM # 237-238)

2002 Scott Sava version (SM: Quality of Life # 1-4) --I never really liked this naked CGI version of Lizzy, but the storyline was significant since Martha Connors died at the end.

That Mysterio bust looks nice,but I think I 'll save my money for the Bowen Full Size statue thats due out next year instead.



Hey Lizard,lets hope with Randy Bowen saying how many Classic Spider-Man villains are in the works for fullsize statue treatment that the Lizard will be one of them.


I know by the preview pics that Green Goblin,Rhino,Mysterio and the Scorpion are being worked on.Doc Ock,Electro,and Lizard seem to be very popular ones that people would like to see done.

Hey,yeah theres some nice stuff in that link you posted.I think the Fury statue looks really good,the Ock bust is nice but I will probaly pass since I have a feeling Ock might get the full size statue treatment from Bowen sometime.

As for the Spider-Man vs Venom/Sandman bookends,very nice and interesting piece.Venom and Sandman being the two villains used for that piece is what caught my attention,since it seems like a odd pairing for something like this.

But who knows it could mean nothing and was just done based on the hype and spectulation.Though Diamond Select is Marvels main company for statues,busts,toys,ect and Marvel gets finally say on all products.

I hope its doesn't mean nothing since I would rather see Venom saved for a future film,with a actor some what resembling Eddie Brock being cast.Have 3 be Sandman and Harry donning the Green Goblin outfit.Also Im old fashion so I would rather see Lizard done first before Venom.

I have the Spidey vs Goblin ones already and love them.

I seem to remember a Spidey vs Venom set of bookends from a few years back, but havent seen it in years, not even on ebay. Anyone remember that?

Yeah,there will be a second FS Venom statue with a FS black costume Spider-Man as a companion piece to go with it.This was all confirmed by Randy Bowen last week.

I for one am very happy since I didn't pick the last one up and this one looks very nice so far,can't wait to see it finished.





Bowen seems to be very high on doing FS statues of Spider-Man's rogue gallery lately.With Green Goblin,Mysterio,The Rhino,and Scorpion coming out.Plus Randy has said that more villains are on the way,so im hoping Doc Ock,Electro and Lizard get FS treatments.

Also a FS Mary Jane statue based on John Romita sr artwork is planned for next year as well.
