Why are you so mad at Superman Returns and Brian Singer?

I wouldnt say mad, I just think Singer is incredibly overrated and Returns a total waste. Why the hell is this a sequel to two movie that already had two sequels? The previous Superman continuity is outdated, campy and flat out terrible. Ice Krypton, Hackman Luthor, hypnotic kisses, having to give up powers to date someone, making time go backwards.... these are all horrible ideas that will be in-continuity. And lets not forget single mom Lois. Why add this? Well its because Singer is afraid of superheroes doing actual heroics (ala X-men). And of course to possibly make Supes a dead beat dad under the thin vale of "drama."

In other words.... Superman Returns will probably be bull****, especially considering the whole heap of additions to Supes world since 1978 that wont be in the film. Ever see the pilot for STAS? Thats how you do it.

I just want to say I really like how you say you aren't mad, then angrily complain about everything to the point where there is not a single redeeming thing for you. No, that's not angry at all.

I like the X Men movies, but Usual Suspects is a HORRIBLY overrated movie. It was so fantastically dull. Even when I had to watch it for my media class, I was begging for an essay to write halfway through.

I have to agree with you on this. Although I don't find it dull, I do feel that it is extremely overrated, mainly because the ending is rather bad IMO.

Will the game have a day/night feature? Like in SM2? I think it'd be cool to fly aorund in Metropolis at night and day.

It's been widely described as a "loose history" for quite some time now. Singer made this movie knowing everyone's idea of Superman is heavily influenced by the Reeve movies, so he's using that as his biggest reference point. It's not going to use the celophane "S" and the hypnotic kiss.

I did see that pilot. It was a long time ago, but I know that it was a good show, but it wasn't movie material.

You have to realise that movies can't be action-fests with our heroes fighting robot aliens from another dimension for two hours, audiences will hate that, no matter how "true" to the comics it is.

Superhero movies typically try to make audiences suspend disbelief for the time they run, this means that you can't have half, maybe less, of the stuff from the comic books.

People want "Batman Begins" and the Hulk TV show. Not "Batman and Robin" and "Justice League".

And yet at the same time, I doubt any people want Supes to be a dead beat dad and a campy Luthor.

And while I agree the pilot wasnt exactly movie material, it did far more right than wrong. Remember, those 66 mins were built to start a tv show. Cut the Krypton/ Jor-El stuff in half, set-up Luthor quicker and there you go.

And btw, you'd have to be crazy not to want a movie of the same quality of Justice League.
