I'm playing through this now on PS4 as I'm slowly moving through my backlog of games that I've bought but haven't started yet. It definitely feels like a Nier game with that Yoko Taro weirdness to it, being the follow-up to the PS3/Xbox Nier game. The music is great again, as is the story, and the action is very varied but there's technical issues with big framerate drops/stuttering and occasional glitches. The first Nier game wasn't a looker either (it looked like a PS2 game), and this one looks like an otherwise great looking PS3 game. I'm having a good time with it.

EDIT (March 19, 2018): I realized I hadn't rebuilt the database on my PS4 since firmware 4.50 (it's 5.50 most recently) came out and so I did that today and the frame rate drops are better but still noticeable.

I just finished it and absolutely loved it. It really blew my mind especially the ending(s). I wonder if they’re working on a sequel or spin off or something?

Well now I got the platinum for GoW this is its replacement, and a few hours in I am loving it. If you ever liked anime this is the game for you, also has a bit of Final Fantasy thrown in a sequel Square Enix was involved.
