*****. Why would you compare NIN and Metallica? You might as well compare Nirvana and Sublime.

I already told you its cause of my dumbass friends making fun of me for liking Nine Inch Nails and they want to compare them. I know they are two totally diffrent bands but when I tell them that they are idoits and say "Its cause metal is Metallica and Metallica is better than NIN."

I hate them, they are so stupid sometimes.

and those are some that I can think of, really all Nine Inch Nail songs are amazing. But honestly I think you need to develop an ear for them. Just like beer, its an aquired taste.

I like to think that Year Zero is not just a shot at the white house, but also the current trend of bush bashing albums in the industry. Ever since Trent had his apocalypictic daydream, I can imagined he listened to politically fused albums like American Idiot and thought to himself "I can wipe my ass with this bull****, I think i'll go ahead and whip up the greatest political album ever."

A while back when the Behind The Music for Metallica aired. One of the people on the show said that Metallica is the new Led Zepplin. I told my friend about this who is 45 years old. I figured he would flip out, & we could share a b**chfest together. He actually thought that was a fair comparison.

I disagreed. Mainly because if it wasn't for bands like Zepplin there would be no Metallica, so to compare the 2 is just just rediculous. Zepplin set the stage, & Metallica kicked it up a notch.

So basically if it wasn't for bands like Zepplin there would be no Metallica, & if it wasn't for bands like Metallica there would be no NIN.

Stop comparing bands, & enjoy them. If your friends insist on comparing them. Be a big boy, & ignore them. Also please do everyone a favor, & don't make a topic about every little petty squabble you, & your little friends have. mmkay.

MetallicAAA!!! the biggest Metal band of all time I love nearly everything they have done from Kill Em All to Reload. Favorite tracks like Devils Dance,For whom the bell tolls, Sad But true, MOP,Fuel, sorry but NIN are just not my kind of cup tea. I prefer Rammstein over NIN in the Industrial department.

I use to be a big Metal fan a few years ago, but am not as I grew out of that phase and only listen to some. But MetallicA are still one of my favorite bands, as the music is still great to my ears.

So you're saying we shouldn't have opinions just because one formed as a result of the other? That's like saying we can't compare Mozart and Bach and express an opinion about who we like more simply because Mozart learned what he learned on the shoulders of a giant like Mozart. Please.

So you honestly had nothing better to do than to come in here and say how dumb my thread is because you didn't like the topic? Then why even bother posting in it if its just a waste of your time?

Anyways if this thread was so dumb how come people are actually coming into it? I just wanted to know what everyone's opinion was on the boards. My friends said that if I asked people most likely they would say Metallica and so I was curious and wanted to ask all of you guys.

People are comparing Nirvana and Sublime why can't I compare Nine Inch Nails to Metallica? I'm not trying to start S**t I'm just wondering why you had to be so rude and come in here with such negativity?
