Wow this thread really sky rocketed, I thought for sure it was just going to be one of those throw away threads that do really well for like a day and then everyone just forgets about them?

Anyways I'm thinking of closing the poll now since both are tied now and that’s a good place to leave it at because honestly its your own personal opinion that matters not what everyone else thinks.

But I think some of you guys need to do a little bit of research before you come into this thread and start s**t to get a rise out of people.

I'm mainly directing this towards jks. It’s cool that you like Metallica and everything but honestly I laughed really hard when I read your NIN=Emo rant. I think you need to do a little research before you post in this thread.

As someone already stated Trent hates emo bands, his band is classified as industrial not emo, anywhere you go I'm pretty sure you won't find the band under the genre. emo.

But if you do happen to stumble upon them under that category doesn't change what a f**king badass Trent Reznor is. I don't know you and honestly I don't know if your a hard ass or a p*ssy but either way you need to know where the hell Trent Reznor has come from.

The guy has had such a s*itty life that I bet if you spent an hour in his dark years you would have crumbled and killed yourself. Trent was so far down the spiral honestly people thought he was never going to get out of it. He was so far down doing drugs and getting f**ked up every night to the point where no human being should ever go.

The guy was so messed up from drugs one time when he was high he was watching a program and the news was interrupted by a terrible car crash that happened and he recognized the van to be his best friends.

He was so f**ked up he couldn't even go to his best friend’s funeral! I don't know if you have any friends like that that you care deeply for but if you do think if you couldn't go to their funeral, and if not think of your mom or dads funeral.

Trent Reznor sobered up as a promise to his dead friend that he would change and Trent has never been stronger. Un-like Metallica they need drugs and alcohol to put out good ****, they should have known that they have no talent sober and should have stopped making music before the black album.

Trent Reznor is the more talented musician because he doesn’t need that crap. He is a genius because he treats his CD work as a whole different entity from performing live unlike most bands. When recording Trent Reznor does Vocals, Synthesizer, Keyboards, Piano, Guitars, Bass guitar, Tambourine, Drums, Programming, Saxophone, Tuba basically Trent is Nine Inch Nails when not performing. He plays like 11 instruments while all of Metallica’s band members stick to just one.

So all in all you need to get your facts straight before you come posting in here and saying that NIN is an emo band because really that’s just a stupid stereotypical judgment with no facts to back it up.

that's funny, although as far as I'm concerned, the guys could be baby eaters, but if the music is good, the music is still good

of course, the napster deal didn't affect my opinion of St Anger that much, it wasn't that strong an album
