I've been doing a lot research and reading through various forums online about this. I have a 22" LG TV that has an AV outlet (red, white, & yellow) in the back and just plugged in my PS2 for the heck of it before switching the input from HDMI to AV. Both sound and video were working, and the picture was displayed in full screen. My question is would I be able to do the same thing with an N64?

Granted, I realize that the N64 came out in 1996 while the PS2 came out a few years later so there might be a difference I'm not aware of, but since both have the red, white, and yellow AV cables and my LG has an AV outlet for each cable does that mean there should be no problem? My biggest concern is whether or not the picture would be full screen without messing the graphics up, since the N64 isn't known for good graphics anyway. I just want to be able to play a N64 on my newer TV without compromising the quality of the picture. It seems a lot of people have many problems playing the N64 on certain HDTVS so I just want to make sure that this will work before buying one. I've read the smaller the TV, the better. Any help or ideas?

If you have an S-video, use that. I used to have a cable that plugged into the only S-Video I had for my TV, and then it would also plug into 3 different consoles. It worked with my N64, PS2, and I think the other was the original XBOX(never used it for that).

I run an N64 through my 47" HDTV and it looks ok. The aspect ratio is fine, no stretching. The graphics are a hair dark, which is a bummer.
