That's why I gave up on online games, I'd hop on every so often and get my ass handed to me by John Q. Stays-up-all-night time and time again because I'm just trying to have fun and he's in there playing like he has a gun to his head.

No, this isn't affecting Mario Kart or SSBB.

I don't think this will affect most of what Nintendo does online, probably just some real extra special stuff they have planned, and if it's worth it, I'll pay for it.

I second that. If Sony can offer free online service (and they don't have stupid FC), then why should Nintendo charge for theirs and they are so pathetic when it comes to online gaming (I'm still mad that they can't work DLC into games like GH3).

Btw, I'm glad that it doesn't affect SSBB and Kart, but I still think it's a stupid idea. Unless they can offer the same competitive service like XBox Live, I don't think they should charge for it.

I haven't really even tried playing Wii online yet, I think the only game I have that has the capabilities is Batallion Wars though. I'd be willing to pay if more online games came out and the service is more like X-Box Live though.
