Gamers hoping for an online component, however, are in for bad news, because one isn’t planned. Activision would not say why, but IGN has separately learned from multiple development sources that Nintendo will not release Wii Wi-Fi Connection libraries to third parties until early 2007, which means that no third party launch title will have an online mode.”

alot of nintendo fans are angry about this:(

That's okay... I can't think of a launch title (other than Wii Sports) where I was really even caring about online play anyway. So if Wii Sports has it, what else really matters? I suppose NFS: Carbon and Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam would've been fun to play online, but they'll make those year after year. I can live with that.

At the very least Smash Brother needs to be online, but first party Nintendo titles will have ready access which means good news.

If they do release a Pilotwings Wii, that needs to be online, or Mario Kart Wii.

Right now, I'm not too worried about the third party online access, because eventually they'll have it, plus most of them that go online will do yearly versions, as was stated earlier.:)

There's no point in Getting Title such as COD3, M:UA or NFS:C on Wii then, well ya could, but you'd loose a major chunk of the games, so why? But I wouldn't have bought titles like that on the Wii anyways, like others have said, just make sure SSBB is online.

You aren't losing anything, you just have to wait like 2 months :o
