No more Claire? Or does this mean the end of Heroes?

I hope to never see Hiro, Matt and Suresh again.

I dont think Noah and Claire are going anywhere and I wouldnt mind more Tracy - but they havent done anything with her and I doubt they will.

Id also like to see Ray Parks character stick around in some way.

At this point I just want the Sylar thing to be resolved and see the show end.

Claire used to be great but has been one of the worst things about Heroes in the last 2 seasons. I think not only will it survie her departure, it could potentially get better

I agree. But also a lack of a great fight sequence really hurts the show. They always build it up and never deliver. They should just cut some of the actors that they dont need and use theyre paychecks to deliver a great fight scene.

ps: love your heavy rain avatar. i was part of the viral.

The whole "Brave New World" storyline is a function of Claire's character development, of which this is basically the first. If Hayden's moving on, that's pretty damning evidence that the show's not getting renewed, or at the very least, they'll have to rewrite the storyline for the next season, the real reason why Season 2 was a horrible drop off. The quality of the show was gone in episode 2.01. If they remove Claire now, the crux of next season's storyline, it will be rewritten at the last minute, and will most certainly suck, regardless of how much fans dislike her.

I never really thought Claire was annoying anyways...

I'll be honest, the cuteness that was Claire/Gretchen and the villainy of Samuel were the only things I found even halfway enjoyable in Volume 5. So with her leaving the show and him written out, I doubt I'll be watching Volume 6 for long, unless they REALLY impress me in the first couple episodes.

If the only reason you watch a show is because of a cute girl and her lesbian fling, I suggest you get the Playboy channel. Better looking chicks going a lot further than teasing.

One better looking chick anyway. Hayden is out of this world hot. The show could use a strong female lead. They already have so few females.

I enjoyed the characters and the relationship between them. As you so correctly point out, if my interest boiled down to "Hey! girl on girl!" there are FAR better places I could go for that.

But speaking of "Going further than teasing" I do hope that the producers on heroes grow some balls and actually develop Claire/Gretchen beyond a few coy hints because the whole spineless "Play it safe" approach they took annoyed me.

And as I said, I also watched it because I found the Samuel story arc entertaining. I'll be interested to see what, if anything, Volume 6's storyline will be. But with three of my favourite characters gone from the cast I'm not optimistic.

Agreed on that. But then again when you consider how it treats it's female characters you'd have to wonder why any half decent actress would take a role on the show.

It's gotten a bit better over the course of the series but not by much

That's true. There were a couple with potential but they got "Heroesed"

- Niki/Jessica: Ok, Niki wasn't loved by all but my god Jessica was a beast! They concluded her arc in The last episode of season 1. Then season 2 started and all her character developement was thrown out the window.

- Eden: Interesting character with a very dangerous power. Killed way too soon if you ask me.

- Elle: Elle and Adam were the best things about season 2. Elle was crazy, complex, funny and dangerous. Then along comes season 3. Suddenly Elle forgives Sylar for killing her dad, falls madly in love with him and loses her dangerous psycho edge and becomes bland.

- Monica: She lacked a bit of personality but she was one of the few characters who didn't ***** about being cursed with a power. She embraced it. Besides her power was awesome. In season 3 she just dissapeared. Micah never mentioned her, Bob didn't mention her. Nobody cared.

- Tracy: They cook up this half baked cliche twin scenario just to keep Ali Larter on the show. Instead of trying something different, Tracy gets the same "oh no i hate my powers because i accidentaly did something bad with them" developement. And after that's over, she doesn't do ****. What did Tracy do in season 4? NOTHING! It's a waste of a good actress.

You forgot Daphne.

I agree that Niki/Jessica was a waste. The idea of a character having a dark side was a cool concept but they never really made Jessica a "villain" for the rest of the heroes (mainly because she never even interacted with most of the other characters until Season 2). The whole Tracy thing was just stupid. They killed off Niki because they didn't know what to do with her character (a sure sign of bad writers) but still wanted to keep Larter.

Monica's fate really annoys me. If there's one thing that I really hate the writers for it's skipping Exodus. Because of that lunkheaded move Heroes began the now enduring tradition of stuff being brought up and never being mentioned on the show ever, ever again.

And the explanation for Jessica makes no sense. Bob says that she was a split personality caused by Nikki's shock as manifesting super powers. But she didn't manifest super powers until AFTER the Jessica personality emerged.

One of many good characters needlessly killed by Sylar

And does nothing to stop him while he kills her

Dealt with in the GN's but yeah, too little too late

I know. It looked like Tracy was going to have something cool to do in Volume 5 and that she was going to be the next big villain. Instead...no, more of her standing around doing nothing and crying about her powers.
