I've only watched the first five episodes so far, but it reminds me of the Orville in that it's just a retread of the show that inspired it. Just about every plotline that's come up so far, ER did first (the bug in an ear, misdiagnosing sickle cell, stolen ambulance). I've also been watching ER at the same time (I just finished season seven out of fifteen), and it's so much better. The acting, the cinematography, the music. The only thing The Pitt does better is gore, and I'm not sure that it's entirely necessary.

It's decent television, but that's all it is. It's not the groundbreaking cultural phenomenon that ER was.

Binged seven episodes today, so freaking good. Episode 11 ended exactly as I expected, now I have to wait for Episode 12. I'm not good at waiting when something is this good.
