Drama Noah Wyle Returns to His Roots in Max's The Pitt

The first two episodes were well done and pretty engaging.

Given its “real-time” format (one episode = one hour of an ER shift), there probably won’t be time for the melodrama shenanigans typical of most medical shows. And that's a good thing. :word:

Early ER melodrama or Grey's Anatomy melodrama? :o

I like John Wells "melodrama"

I really need to start this. I've been buried in other shows. Good to know it got renewed at least.

Haven't seen it yet and it's on my to do list

(swearing in the trailer)

Tell me I'm not the only one absolutely obsessed with this show at the minute, because it's been utterly incredible and I need to talk with people about it

I've only watched the first five episodes so far, but it reminds me of the Orville in that it's just a retread of the show that inspired it. Just about every plotline that's come up so far, ER did first (the bug in an ear, misdiagnosing sickle cell, stolen ambulance). I've also been watching ER at the same time (I just finished season seven out of fifteen), and it's so much better. The acting, the cinematography, the music. The only thing The Pitt does better is gore, and I'm not sure that it's entirely necessary.

It's decent television, but that's all it is. It's not the groundbreaking cultural phenomenon that ER was.

Also, I just noticed that there was already a thread for this, so maybe a mod can merge them.

I couldn't find it for the life of me, mind sending a link?

Hi I'm here to say I would jump in front of a train for Mel

Absolute cinammon bun

I'm on episode 4 and wishing I had started earlier. Really loving this, though I have the benefit of binging right now. This will top my list of favorites for this year. :D

I don’t typically like medical shows but my wife and I binged the crap out of this. It’s really compelling and I love all the characters. Can’t wait for the next episode.

I'll be bingeing until I catch up. :D

Binged seven episodes today, so freaking good. Episode 11 ended exactly as I expected, now I have to wait for Episode 12. I'm not good at waiting when something is this good. :p

It really has to be some kind of crime to end a first season on such a dramatic cliffhanger! :cmad: Seriously, such a fantastic show, but I'm annoyed we have to wait so long to get the details on the shootings. :(

First season is 15 episodes, so don't you worry. Shift's not over yet (as per in healthcare lmao)

Oh! Thank you! I thought I read somewhere that this was the finale. I feel so much better now, lol.
