Nocturnal Animals with Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal

Just saw it and I really enjoyed it. Gyllenhaal was good as usual, but Shannon and Taylor-Johnson stole the show.

The book scenes I really enjoyed for the most part, but I didn't really enjoy the present day scenes. The opening credits made me extremely uncomfortable as well.

Finally managed to see this...by far my personal favorite of the year. The performances were fantastic, quite honestly I preferred Adams in this than Arrival.
Loved the ending!

Why the heck did SAG nominate this movie for stunt ensemble though?
I'm a bit confused by that.

That was not very good at all....I was so looking forward to this but between extremely banal conclusion to what happened in real life, stupid jump scares, the characters not reacting or talking like actual people do in real life and pedestrian symbolism (REVENGE!) there was very little good here. Shannon's performance and the score make it worth seeing but I'd never guess this juvenile movie shares a director with wonderful A Single Man.
