Mama Adams. Some good genes in that family. :hmr:

Kim Basinger has joined the growing cast of Nocturnal Animals, the Focus Features adaptation of the Austin Wright book Tony And Susan that Tom Ford wrote and will direct beginning in the fall. Basinger, who won the Oscar for L.A. Confidential, will play Anne Sutton, a wealthy Texas socialite and the mother of Susan Morrow, the character played by Amy Adams.

I'd see it for Amy Adams anyway, but this sounds like an interesting movie. I'm in.

I hope Ford brings Abel Korzeniowski back to score. Cause that Single Man soundtrack....

Well I guess Just Jared were accurate in their scoop.

Armie Hammer joins @TOMFORD’s ‘Nocturnal Animals’ http://ow.ly/RwgKv

Armie Hammer has joined the cast of Nocturnal Animals, the book adaptation that Tom Ford is writing and directing. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. star joins a cast that includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kim Basinger and Aaron Taylor Johnson. That's probably accurate man. :funny:

Joaquin was going to play the part that Michael Shannon took. The guy said he wanted to work with Amy again after The Master and Her and Amy said the same.

Isla Fisher Joins Tom Ford’s ‘Nocturnal Animals’ http://deadline.com/2015/09/isla-fisher-joins-tom-fords-nocturnal-animals-1201519527/ …

Isla Fisher has just been set for Nocturnal Animals, the Tom Ford-directed drama. She joins Jake Gyllenhaal, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kim Basinger, Armie Hammer and Aaron Taylor Johnson

Adams plays Susan Morrow, who, out of the blue, receives a package containing the manuscript of her ex-husband’s first novel. As she reads, she is drawn into the fictional life of Tony Hastings (Gyllenhaal). As his ordinary life is violently set off course, Susan is forced to confront her own past. Fisher will play Laura Hastings, Tony’s wife, who travels with him and is in the car during an altercation he has that puts their family in danger.

Twin trouble. :hmr:

But in all honesty why not have Amy play dual roles?

Michael Shannon in his Midnight Special interview talk's about Nocturnal Animals briefly. http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplayl...ire-working-with-jeff-nichols-20160317?page=1

There's some really great-sounding stuff in there — I'm particularly intrigued by Tom Ford's sophomore film, "Nocturnal Animals."

That's an amazing script. It's going to be a trippy movie, really unique — because it goes back and forth between two completely diametrically opposed worlds. It's a real head trip, half of it set in the LA art world and the other half is this grimy crime story in Texas. I'm just in the Texas part, playing a detective trying to help Jake Gyllenhaal's character solve a crime.

So if I have it correctly, Amy and Michael won't have any scenes together? That's a pity as I wanted to see them interact more in Man of Steel and thought I might get to see them act together in this. Not putting me off at all though - cast, director and now score all make this sound A+.

You are correct unless Tom Ford has drastically changed the book. Michael Shannon's character is in the book that Amy's character is reading. It's a story within a story.

Michael Shannon talks a bit about the movie while on his Elvis & Nixon press junket.

I really loved A Single Man, and was awaiting to hear what Tom Ford would do next. What’s your involvement in Nocturnal Animals?

SHANNON: Man, I was just on cloud nine making that movie. It’s an amazing script. It’s kind of set in two different worlds in LA, kind of vapid art scene of LA and then it goes back and forth between there and Texas. The part that is in Texas is in a book. Amy Adams is reading a book that her ex-husband wrote. And it goes back and forth between her life and the book. I play a detective in the book, which is actually a book called Tony and Susan by Austin Wright.
