Now Introducing HBO Max Classic

To be fair, unlike JL, Superman 2 was actually successful. This is the first time that a project that lost the studio millions is getting more millions put into it thanks largely due to loud fan support online. I’ve never seen anything like this before.

Blade Runner.

We were talking about this in another thread and I really don't think it matters. They're already working on putting 50 shows out (at least before the virus)

And even if that fails they have so many exclusive things like Friends or Big Bang Theory or Fresh Prince that will bring plenty of people in. Especially when you consider people mostly rewatch shows they've seen before

There's really no attraction to me to having Friends, BBT, or Fresh Prince on streaming. Especially when those episodes are so readily available elsewhere through syndication.

Ok...that's you. You're one person. Not sure why quote me

Same. That same crap plays on TV here all day everyday and it's on Freeview.

Agreed. And if I already have HBO Go I don’t see much new offerings to want Max, especially at that price point.

Hey, announce a revival of Batman Beyond animated PLUS a new live-action TV series, and then we'll start talking. Also, a revival of Freakazoid.

Sweeten the pot with Freakazoid and I'd probably sub tomorrow.

Look, I like Looney Tunes and all. But some new Looney Tunes shorts isn't much of a selling point for me.

Also The Abyss.

The third act of The Abyss is basically completely different and completely changes the tone and themes of the movie.

Now granted, I'm not sure they spent millions to finish it up. They did have to use some more modern tech to finish the FX.

Blade Runner is still probably the best example pre-social media.

And not everyone has TV.

People want to see them which is why they acquired them. I personally don't care about them, but it was a good move

Well I'm surprised that some will pay $15 for a service to watch Friends on a phone or tablet.

They revive Batman: The Animated Series and I'll subscribe immediately.

Where does Fresh Prince play on cable? I never see it on. Hulu Live doesn't have Viacom networks so maybe that's why.

I mean fresh prince went off the air like 24 years ago. It's not really a show I am chomping at the bit to watch again and pay for a streaming platform to watch it.

Yeah, it's not going to get me to subscribe or anything but I might watch it if it's there. I mean the value is always the library for me with these things otherwise you're just waiting around for whenever a good original shows up. That's why I can't take Apple TV seriously at all. The have jack basically.

I don't get why be surprised. This has been going on for years. People don't buy DVDs like that anymore and they use streaming. And they like being able to watch this stuff on the go. This isn't new

Now that's not personally my taste. But this has been the trend

The love for that show runs deep with people my age and a little older. It's socially acceptable to like it unlike other shows targeted at families from the same era.

It got more real and was more self aware than stuff like Family Matters.

HBO Max is banking big time on cartoons. I love it!

These are all the cartoon shows on HBO Max minus the stuff from Rooster Teeth and Crunchyroll. Not sure if all of these will be available on launch date tho. There are shows like the DC Super Hero Girls or the original Powerpuff Girls which are not included because those are tied up with Hulu.
