Film Now Introducing HBO Max Classic

General Film
That's the thing. You can argue the Matrix, Suicide Squad and maybe even Dune. But yeah, WW would theoretically be top tier, and it isn't even on there anymore.
I feel like I'm thinking of HBO Max releases like theatrical releases.

After WW84, I have the most faith in TSS because I think Gunn can do something more with these characters than Ayer did. I feel that Matrix 4 is more than likely going to be the Dead Man's Chest of the Pirates series and I've said before Dune feels like Blade Runner (which I really like the original and the follow up) but don't feel it's for the general audience.

I don't know. Something that is 'awesome' would be expected to cause people to drop to their knees, lose all capacity for speech, perhaps cover their eyes to shut it out. All sound like probable responses to seeing the Snyder Cut.

*eg*

Watching Heart of Ice post-COVID, makes me cringe as Bruce is sneezing all over the place.

I'm wondering when the rest of the DC stuff will be added? I mean stuff like Superboy, Lois and Clark, Superman TAS, And such.

I still think the price is a little high. I'm probably the only person in my family willing to pay $15 a month. I think $12 would be better.

I’ve been meaning to rewatch Lois and Clark but Dean Cain has proven himself to be such an irredeemably awful person as of late that I don’t need to revisit it anytime soon. That show is tainted for me thanks to Cain’s *****ebaggery in real life.

Can’t wait until Superman TAS is added on there though.

The single note that I took away from The Little Things was that the critics got it right calling it moody. That was the one word which kept going through my mind as I watched the film.

Saying it was kind of boring is honestly an understatement IMO, because I found it to be very boring honestly and the only thing that kind of saved it for me was Jared Leto's performance.

I was trying to be nice...but yeah, I fell asleep half way through it. There wasn’t enough of Leto IMO.

WW84 will return.
ALL of these WB releases are getting a short 31 day theatrical/streaming hybrid release on HBOMAX. On Day 32, they go strictly theatrical, until their run is completed.

The Little Things was so generic it could've been written by a computer program designed to pump out serial killer screenplays but to its credit the third act felt as though it had been imported from a different, way better movie.

Writer/director John Lee Hancock says that the third act is why he wrote the movie.

I actually thought The Little Things was terrible, which is a shame because I love old fashioned thrillers and I was excited for it. Incredibly boring (felt like it was 3 hours long with 2 hours of driving scenes), painfully generic, and horribly edited. The whole movie had this weird, cheap, articificial quality to it. Apparently, this script was written in the early 90s which kind of makes sense.

I also thought Leto was very bad in this. Only Ray of light for me was Denzel.

The Little Things Made. 4.8 million domestic, 7.6 worldwide.
It is the best box office take for an R rated movie during these pandemic times since August.

Just curious guys, what is your favorite movie that is available on HBO MAX?
And did you watch any movie on there, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER?

HBO Max has Batman Begins (definitely one of my top 5 CBMs) and The Dark Knight, along with tons more Batman material. 'Nuff said? I own those two movies on DVD as any Batman fan should though.

HBO Max also has my personal top #1 favorite movie which is the original Alien from 1979. Along with the rest of that series too. I have the Anthology Blu-ray set, but if I didn't, HBO Max would be awesome for that too.

Also I've personally been watching a bunch of movies on there that I haven't seen before. Last night I watched Before Sunrise and Before Sunset which are leaving today. The other day I watched When Harry Met Sally, also leaving today. Watched the Leprechaun series and Demolition Man. Lots of movies and TV shows on there I haven't seen before and definitely will at some point.
